custom winning gear.

Steve responds nearly every day to me around 3-4pm PST. He's really good at keeping good open communication lines with me for all the details of my custom set.

What did you ask him?

I just wanted a price on shipping to the UK and where to order custom coloured gloves.

He doesn't answer questions which have the answers stated visibly. I tried in an earlier post and got no response also.

Tell me how it is while sparring, i just think the gloves are so soft it wouldn't back anybody up. But i don't know.

True , Winnings are extremely soft and it takes a perfect hit to even get any noticeable (hint hint) effect.

Here are the pictures and a comparison with a FG5000 I bought direct from Winning USA. It is definitely the real deal. Don't know if the gold half is real leather, but it doesn't look like the type that would be discolored easily. Came in a Winning box with a brown paper sheath so you can use the box as decoration and a tag in Japanese.

Your gold seems different than mine.
How did u choose it ?

It won't fade . Gloves , yes . Headgear , no.....unless you're getting clocked 40 times a round.

Been acting pissy with me.

Ordered shoes . 10-12 days later email me a reply (silence before that) and says its out of stock AND it's handmade AND shop is losed for holidays (it was dec 15 ffs) and I'm looking at January 20th.
Why not tell me before ? Why not update your website ? Isn't there usually a notice if it's custom made ?
Anyways , cancelled the order cuz I needed them now.

Emailed him a day or two ago if it's in stock and the reply was "you cancelled" .
I know , genius , I'm asking if it's in now.
Get a terse one word reply ......no.
No date of expected re stocking or anything.

:(

Japanese customer service sucks balls.
(4th time dealing with that country's online customer service)

I'm going to order some black Winning 16oz very soon with gold screen print name. I would like to have the gold palm side like Jorge Linares a couple of pages back, but I don't fancy paying and extra

Not sure if this has been answered but, it's called non shiny gold, or calm real leather gold if you're going through rakuten.

Yeah that is what it's called. I sold my white FG5000 a month ago, but there are plenty of FG5000's on ebay right now.

Damn, is it really that bad? I got some 16 winning's for sparring, i assumed when people said they were like pillows that they would be a bit softer but you'd still feel the concussive power of the shot, so you'd still be able to back people up. Can anyone that uses winning's to spar or have been hit by winning's lemme know how they are for sparring?

Although both Pacman and Marquez got knockdowns during sparring while wearing winning gloves and while their partners wore fg 5000's. I still think the gloves are too soft for sparring. Those are elite, top p4p fighters.

So, if you love and/or need your sparring partners, stick with winnings.

Plus most gyms use bag gloves, 10 year old gloves and $30 walMart gloves for sparring. That's why I use reyes for sparring. Even though my gym has enough to supply good sparring gloves, all gyms aren't like that. So if they're basically hitting you with wraps/worn out gloves, there's no point to buy winnings.

Well damn. They're gonna get here tomorrow, so I guess I'm gonna use em. I usually spar at Mayweather Boxing Club and it is some serious serious sparring there, and yeah all the other boys are using bag gloves and stuff they bought at sports authority and crap, so I'm gonna be hitting them with foam while they hit me with bricks, but whatever at the end of the day it still is sparring, and the winning's should protect my partner well even though they don't care about my safety, i'll just think to myself I'm the bigger man for wanting to protect them ;). Lol. Have you personally been hit by winnings? if so was there a very big difference?

Miguel Cotto sparred very light with me, he went about 90% defence while only hitting me hard with the jab. I remember he wore some black winnings, 16oz. Honestly, you feel the shots, but it doesn't hurt. it's difficult to explain. it's soft, but you still feel that push.

Even then , remember that even Paquiao almost never drops ppl in sparring.
He had to go balls out to even do that.

K , nvm .
Found answer on pg 27.

If it really is patent leather , anyone know if it lasts (unlike the gold).
Anyone ever seen or heard of it ?
