custom winning gear.

Not sure, but I would imagine they could do both at the same time so it should only be 2-3 weeks total? Surely they wouldn't have to do one or the other individually?

I hope not. Now all that i need is a color, gold and neon yellow. If i get the yellow I'm getting gold screen print and vice versa

So last week I ordered a MS-600, CPS-500, and a FG-5000 with screening and custom colors.

I got the order confirmation and was wondering: What's the next step in the custom order process?

I ask because I put in an order 6 months ago, emailed them several times, and never got a reply. Although Kazumichi's been answering my inventory questions and such I never got a response on my custom order, so I'm guessing it got scrapped since it's been so long.

The more of these I see, the more I realize how uesless Winning as a company is.

Did you ever get charged? If not just cancel the order and order it again after some time passed.

Well, the manufacturing works perfectly and is rather quick, the gear is flawless. Even better than flawless. But Kazumichi is definitely not the employee of the year.
On the other hand, anybody can order via rakuten instead - it works just fine. I got my new gloves quickly and perfectly packed.

I just ordered a custom FG5000 (one side non shiny gold, one side red) off Rakuen fyi. Still debating weather to get gloves or not (I have some other gloves coming in anyway). Will let you guys know how long it takes for me to get it.

It is sad if you have to order from a 3rd party, and questionable if they can offer better prices.

What about the question is? You can clearly see all the prices and compare. Who cares whether they are a 3rd or a 5th party if their prices are for sure lower? I got my 14 oz. gloves in some limited outlet discount for 200 plus shipping. Is it so bad?

Multi colour 16oz gloves from Winning is $350 + 35% = $472.50... That place sells them for $400. How can they sell them made to order for $72 less, which makes Winning USA's prices questionable.

Your logic is legit. However it is as it is. It's all about how Winning sets their price policy. I used to buy red wine from the direct importer. It cost 10 bucks. Then I found out those bastards sell it to the shops for 5 bucks (btw these shops buy usually only about 12 bottles of it, not hundreds) and the shops sell it for 8. WTF? Price policy is sometimes absurd. I know 2 things absolutely for sure: 1) Winning gear on rakuten is genuine original, 2) it is cheaper and usually faster from rakuten. If despite this somebody prefers Kazumichi - it's his right and his choice.

What I am trying to say, is that it seems that Winning USA is overcharging if Rakuten is selling the gear for 15% less and still making a profit; I can't read Japanese so I can't navigate the website to compare prices on their main site. Typically the third party has to add a mark up to increase profits, not sell cheaper than the source, unless the items are on clearance - which made to order items are not.

Never got charged for that first custom order. I'm thinking of picking up some grants and a FG-2900, I'm thinkin of getting the FG-2900 from Rak and see who ships custom items faster

Pricing on Rakuten does seem great BUT is it 100% genuine and new gear? It looks a little like a Japanese E-bay and if there's any risk I'd sooner pay the 15% more and get it direct.

The third party gets a substantial discount because they're ordering and moving a massive number of Winning items. This is pretty standard

For example if you order from MMAwearhouse or Title Boxing, they sell the brand name gear at a discounted price sometimes. If you go to the main website, the items are usually high and not on sale.

The Rakuen guys responded to my emails extremely quickly so I'll take the risk and find out for you guys.

are there private listings on Rakuten?

just wanted to say there's no 'if' about it, they very obviously make substantial profit on each item charging the prices they do

And post pictures.

I honestly can't tell mate, but I don't think it's just one company (Rakuten), though I could be wrong. Seems to be a collection of stores (ie boxing) and they don't necessarily all have to be trustworthy. Just seeing if anyone can confirm.
