I once dated a Korean woman who insisted that I cut off all of my female contacts except family once we became official. She said that's what you're supposed to do when you enter a relationship and if I was Korean, I would understand this and do it without question. She also got extremely jealous that I hug my female friends, which is normal for me. She insisted that hugging was sexual and westerners hug because they always think about sex lol.

The gender/sexuality issue is just fascinating to me. I was utterly shocked when I found out here on Sherdog that Japanese wives basically refusing to have sex with their husbands past about the age of 40 is a thing and pretty normalized. In most parts of the world, this is a huge problem and couples go to therapy to fix it and often end up divorcing over it.

And of course, many Muslim countries having public places like cafes and restaurants as strictly male-only because women being around would be too tempting is just wild.
