Had this dream where these two big guys had me backed into a corner and they were going to kill me.

I threw a push kick at one guy, then suddenly I'm awake and I realize I'm throwing a kick as hard as I can for real in my own bed. Thankfully my wife had already gotten up so no harm was done.

I know I read a while back that when you're dreaming your body is paralyzed, and scientists thought it was for this exact reason. To keep you from physically acting out your dreams and hurting yourself or others.

But then it makes me wonder how this was possible? When I think about it, I see dogs moving their legs when they're asleep. Also sleepwalkers move while asleep.

So how was I able to move when I should've been paralyzed? Can adrenaline overcome this dream paralysis?

Next time you should remember in your dreams that you are a Sherdogger and uppercut your way out of a nightmare

I did that for a while. I was regularly fighting in my dreams and would wake up kicking etc.

It stopped when I treated sleep apnea

Ooooo shit! I have sleep apnea!

What if this was some metaphor for me fighting for my life? And the two big gay dudes represent sleep apnea?

I have flinched/jerked my body while I am asleep because I'm dreaming of falling or fighting in my dreams. I even end up screaming in the middle of the night 😆

You would have succumbed easily lol.

True as I would wake kicking out violently, sometimes jumping to my feet at the same time.
I also would have bizarre horror dreams and had that 'paranormal activity' type experience where I would feel something dragging me out of bed by the arm or leg (I lived alone at the time).

I would also have this reoccurring sleep paralysis thing where I would be outside my body looking at myself asleep...and there would be some old hag standing next to me crouched over and she would lower some weird worm into my mouth and I would wake up in a choking/coughing fit that would last ten mins or so. I had that like 6 or 7 times.

And they all stopped when I started treating sleep apnea. I figured I musn't have been getting enough oxygen in my sleep and as a result I was in that weird zone where you are not quite awake...not quite asleep.

I only came into this thread to find out if the title was meant literally or was referring to a squandered opportunity.
Had a similar dream but they were not trying to kill me, woke up sticky af
I had a dream a few years ago where I was being kidnapped by this e-thot who went to my high school. Trashy tattoos but incredibly good looking before she botched her face with plastic surgery.

At some point I was lucid dreaming and was able to fight back but then also I realized it was a dream and thought it might turn into a pretty sexy one if I let her kidnap me. It was too vivid though so I GTFO there and I've regretted it ever since.

I had this dream the other day where I was walking on some sharp rocks. I remember I could feel the texture of the rocks extremely vividly on the soles of my feet. At some point I semi-woke up, but was in some sort of intermediate stage where I couldn’t really move, and felt pressed down to the bed, and in some weird way still felt like I was walking. But the thing I most remember was the sense of touch under my feet against the rocks, like a tactile hallucination. Shit’s crazy. Now, if we discovered how to make the brain do that with visions of big booty latinas…

Fought my brother in a dream and woke up swanging and hit the edge of my wooden frame and fractured my thumb. 👍🏻

In college in bunk beds I was top bunk and kicked in my dream super hard....but actually kicked in real life and thought I broke my toe on the ceiling. It was sore for a month at least.

I'm a Sherdogger so no x-rays or walking boot though. I just went out and drank every night and banged 10s.

Did you walk in broken glass and vinegar then hot coal to renew your membership ?

Ability to move was triggered because you either wanted to protect your wife or because you wanted to kick her out of the bed

I had a dream like this once, minus the booger lady. I fell asleep on the couch. Eventually I'm standing over my body and staring at myself sleeping for a bit. Then I woke up and felt like something was hovering over me. Was weird. Probably drug or alcohol induced.

I get dreams where I'm freaking out and trying to wake up but I can't and in my dream I'm trying to scream or yell but I'm actually just moaning like a tard.

I sometimes wonder if I have sleep apnea. I do have a deviated septum and can't breathe well (or hardly at all) through my nose. My wife tells me I snore like a bastard, but I deny that outright. I've never heard it, not even once.

It's worth checking out. If you have it or something similar and you are stopping breathing mutiple times a night you are probably waking up exhausted and getting headaches that wont go. If it goes untreated for years you can cause yourself neurological issues later in life (and you don't want any of those).

I suspected I had it for a few years before something happened and I acted, so don't put it in the 'laterbase' too long.

Yours does sound a lot like sleep paralysis.

Perhaps you can post some recordings of yourself 'moaning like a tard' for sherdog research purposes (totally not for lulz)...

had super similar one but even funnier lol

In the dream was running fast at this guy to throw a punch at his face, but mid run i realize my arms are like chained to the torso, but shit has started and there's too much momentum so i switch to front kick

I woke up after kicking a wood dresser next to the bed, realized i was sleeping having crossed arms, so my weight and guess contract muscles kinda locked arms and gave me the "chained" feel <lol>
