Basically he doesn't know shit about what he's saying.
Cowboy, stick to the fighting.
Cowboy, stick to the fighting.
:icon_lol:Man you really want to be right about this, I can tell. It must suck to have all this progress happening in other places and you have to try defending outdated modes of thought.
I'm going to ignore the false equivocation that litters this post and just keep kicking your ass on the topic at hand.Incorrect, moron. Religion requires practice--if not ritualistic, at least mental/spiritual. As such, it requires constant attention. If one "has religion," one renews it daily. When one renews their religion throughout their life, it's clearly a choice. I never said education or upbringing had nothing to do with their choice, only that it is a choice. Being born a German, Arab, whatever, however, is not a choice. It requires no practice, no volitional action; it simply is. One can add-on to their birth identity, but it can't be undone. Someone born German can move to Spain, take Spanish citizenship, speak Spanish everyday, have children with a Spaniard and raise them in Spain, and become a Spaniard themselves; but they'll never stop being a German by definition. A Muslim/Christian/Jew/whatever can stop being one of those things by not choosing to be one, as they require practice. Are there social/cultural factors that make it difficult to abandon religion? Sure, but I never said it was easy, simply that it is a choice on some level. If you can't see the distinction, well, then you're dumber than I thought.
But keep talking out of your ass, Mark, it's what you do best. Are you still trying to defend Caio Magalhaes for spitting at someone, claiming it's somehow equivalent to Conor McGregor talking shit? Lol, what a clown you are.

LOL, acknowledging that race exists is "outdated" huh? How very leftist of you.
The difference between "progress" and degeneration depends largely upon where one is standing at the time. But try not to hit your head on the "ONLY MY IDEOLOGY IS RIGHT" sign.
How the fuck are anti-Islamic comments, not based on race but religion, "racist" in any way?
Did you know that most people in Dagestan are white?!?!?!
It doesn't matter, you can still criticize their customs/practices/religion/beliefs whether or not they chose to be raised that way. If no one ever criticizes it because OMG that's not PC, then we'll end up with countries in the 21st century still stoning women to death for adultery.
Clearly Cowboy isn't doing anything to correct that and is just antagonizing his opponent. But still, it's a fight and these guys punch people for a living. If you're going to watch that kind of thing you should have a thick enough skin to not get upset over Cowboy making some stupid remark. Not saying you personally did, just a general response to people getting their panties all bunched up over it.
Well, I've read about white babies who were pretty much too young to undergo any form of socialization or really understand the idea of culture, who freaked out when their parents had a black friend over. You gonna tell me that's learned behavior? To say that race is an innately understood concept that is somehow hardwired into human brains, rather than a culturally constructed societal concept is akin to saying that autism is linked to vaccination. Invalidated by everything that comes after it. Outdated.
So it's correct to say that objective differences in the human genome don't exist, i.e. that Northern Europeans have pale skin solely because of their culture, not because their physiology adapted to grow up in an area with little sunlight?Mark Andeya said:It is, leftist, in a way, but only because the "left" is more frequently associated with socially progressive liberalism. It's much more right though, because, well, it's correct.
I don't think that psychology/cultural diffusion has NO relevance to race/gender identity. I just think that it's a combination of physiology AND societal influence.I'll go ahead and respond to the edit as well. Biological sex is absolutely dictated by one's physiology, and clearly there are neurobiological predicates for what we call "gender" that link it, inexorably in many cases, to biological sex. Not disagreeing there. But of course it also psychologically constructed. How the fuck can you possibly think it isn't? I had a friend in college who liked me to come over and bang her while her cuckold husband watched. She said it made her feel more like a woman. Why had she psychologically constructed a link between cuckolding her husband and being a woman? I don't know, but she sure as hell had.
I know that. In sociology I learned that in Tibet for example, it's considered normal for a wife to have many husbands who are all loyal to that one woman. That's pretty weird to me, but it's just a culture difference.Mark Andreya said:For the katoey, man it doesn't matter if his/her body stays the same lol. Functionally (that is, with regards to the psychological and sociological understanding of gender) katoey is katoey. The presence of a donger isn't important to that culture. Now, to you, coming from your culture, maybe it is. That's totally cool. But you have to recognize that cultural relativism holds a lot of sway here.
lol truth. Don't forget misogynist! We all know exactly why, it's the shock word to use, don't like what someone's saying? Just shout racist.
hahahahahahahah, oh the irony.Nothing worse than a closet racist. Pathetic.
Ok anyone can tell that there is a bunk conclusion to be drawn from that article. Does an infant show a preference for someone of their own race? Maybe it does. But to assume that knowing its own race is hardwired into its brain is specious at best. I'm far from an expert in the field, but I expect that if we abandoned ethics and got a bunch of babies born white but who spent their entire short lives in black communities with black parents, they would no longer show preferential treatment toward white researchers. Just visit a mixed-up society like Brazil and you'll see how radically different race can be in terms of it's societal function.http://time.com/67092/baby-racists-survival-strategy/Well, I've read about white babies who were pretty much too young to undergo any form of socialization or really understand the idea of culture, who freaked out when their parents had a black friend over. Then again, perhaps that behavior is the result of first world culture, but even so, is a baby that is only a few months old really socially influenced? I think that's a bit of a stretch, unless of course its parents went out of their way to promote those ideas, but that obviously wasn't the case here as these parents were liberals. (I would find the story if I can, but it may have been on Tumblr of all places)
Again, I think race as a VALUE is societally constructed, in that some cultures don't really care about it. But does that mean that race is not a biological and scientific fact in and of itself?
Perhaps I'm just uneducated, but I don't see how that could be.So it's correct to say that objective differences in the human genome don't exist, i.e. that Northern Europeans have pale skin solely because of their culture, not because their physiology adapted to grow up in an area with little sunlight?
Well, that's news to me!

That guy who watched you bang his wife probably has serious issues lol...I know that. In sociology I learned that in Tibet for example, it's considered normal for a wife to have many husbands who are all loyal to that one woman. That's pretty weird to me, but it's just a culture difference.
Actually, nothing happens if it's actually a majority group (as in, maintains a higher position of power than the given minority group prejudiced against it)What happens when you simply invert prejudice towards MINORITY groups, into prejudice towards MAJORITY groups...?
