Couture vs Nogueira

Randy had significantly less fights and took much less damage. It's amazing how this needs to be explained.
Yeah clearly means 46 isn't past your prime then. They should take 96 year olds from nursing homes who never fought, imagine how dominant they would be without all the wear and tear from fighting.

Yeah it was a great fight and it's been talked on here quite a bit for years. Much better fight than what I expected.

Surprisingly Nog was in his early thirties when they fought but the thing is he had close to 40 fights by that time. 40 fights where he was on the receiving end of punishment in many of them. Not to mention I thought he looked pretty average in his fight with Herring and even worst vs Tim.

I think what really screwed Randy besides his age was the one-year layoff after his contract dispute with the UFC.

Randys 45 was like an average man's 35. He was juiced up on TRT and coming off a title fight and started MMA in his 30s. He obviously had wear and tear but not nearly as much as Minotauro who was a one eyed CTE fossil with hip surgery. When they met Nog had 38 fights to Handys 26.

Once again, it's amazing that this has to be explained.

The fact that Nog couldn't put away 56 year-old Couture who was notorious for his bad sub defense even in his prime is much more remarkable than his decision win.

It was a robbery. Randy was off balance a few times and slipped over but the judges thought he was knocked down. One of the worst decisions I've seen, he controlled the entire fight.

It needs to be explained because you’re crazy. We get it, Pride or die. Most of us love Pride too but come on. Big was 33 and 37 fights into his career. Handy was 46 and 26 fights into his career. Not much difference other than Handy likely getting AARP notices while Nog wasn’t even old enough to run for President. Just saying

It's amazing that you can't comprehend that being 33 is a massive advantage athletically to being 46.

Nog was on everything, this was pre-Usada. Get off your high horse, you pridejizzer. Can't even admit that being 46 fucking years old is way past prime. 13 years difference is way bigger than 12 fight difference.

Randy was juiced up on TRT and putting in work in the gym like a 35 year old. If he was some old ass 46 year old senior citizen he wouldn't be a world HW champion one fight before fighting Nog. He was still in amazing shape then and much healthier than Nog.

Very good fight!! I wish it was 5 rounds instead of 3
