You are welcome to troll but you should show you understand what is said.

Yes a power rack would be the first choice in any home gym that has the space for it and the choice is between power rack and Smith Machine. If budget or space is no limit then you can get a Smith Machine as well if that's something that appeals to you.

Power racks are not very expensive so that's not a flex.

The way I see it, machines will build a lot of strength, but it has severe limitations. It's that simple. It also doesn't train your balance and coordination.

Inferior tool.

A younger version of me may have said something silly like this but a wiser version of me knows better.

I can make the same argument for using kettlebells, dumbbells and sandbags over barbells.

It's a misguided mindset.

Barbell exercises are, in my opinion, the best way to build strength. Other tools have their value, but barbell training will give you the most benefit... Mainly brute strength.

RFK told me that you eat too much food cooked with seed oils.

Sometimes I eat tofu. Sometimes I don't. I don't care. I eat to live and I eat at a surplus to get stronger.

Paul Anderson (former US weightlifting champion) had atrocious nutrition and look what happened to his lifts.

I'm at work goddammit!! And I gotta buy and download the software first!! For fuck's sake, everybody here hates me!!

Stop pretending to be a victim and post the front squat video. Even if you have to purchase some cheap app for your phone, you've stated you're making bank, so go ahead splash some cash homie. Post the video today. You've had more than enough time. If you don't we all know why.

Full disclosure: when the new Smith Machines arrive, I'll probably take one for a test drive. At least once.

Who doesn't like new toys to play with? ;)
All jokes aside who cares. I just don't like the idea of the bar not moving. Seems weird.

All that stuff about stabilisers etc is easily fixed by just doing other exercises in addition.

Want to bench on a smith machine? Add in some overhead carries, ring exercises and band work as a warmup or assistance work.

For some reason I pictured some crazy pulley system when you made the thread.

Yeah, Smith Machine Bench won't be my main Pressing exercise. I'll always prefer to Bench with a Football Bar.

That said, Smith Machines are highly recommended by Eric Spoto for JM Pressing. And Eric held the WR at one point with a raw Bench of 722. So I figure his opinion is worth listening to. ;)

Nah what would he know. Some Instagram trainer told me they were ghey back in the day. I love Spoto press.
