Correlation between gym size and stupidity.

In my experience, there isn't much correlation between the size of the gym and the client base.

I'm a member of two gyms. One is a university gym, and naturally the majority of members are students. And that includes a sizeable number of educated idiots. We're talking about people who somehow managed to break a fucking Smith Machine and a Safety Squat Bar. I was at this gym today, and noticed a Leg Press and two Hammer Strength machines that the previous users had left the plates on when they finished.

It's illegal to hit someone in the face with a dumbbell for not putting their weights away. But it shouldn't be, IMHO.

The other gym I use specialises in Crossfit, Hydrox and Powerlifting/Strongman training, although you don't have to compete in those sports to use the gym. The atmosphere is friendly, and people take care of the equipment.

I have a home gym, access to work gyms and currently have a gym membership I get for a period yearly..

Interestingly the work gym which has some really high level performers has the most whacked out training programs.
Most people are running decent programs these days. Half the girls in big fitness gyms are running better programs than the guys, just trying to work on specific muscles for instagram.

They are religious about booty bands and glute bridges in front the mirrors
