Gamestop? I cant think of a scenario where I would think they should have stayed open.

It's not just them though.
Basically, I think it's gonna go one of two ways. Either they get serious and lock us all down, and we live in some perpetual Twilight Zone episode, OR, they're gonna just say "fuck it, this is never going to be under control and we need to deal with this as is."
My money is on the latter, which will make people think "Why did we ever shut anything down in the first place, and cause all this chaos?"
We'll see...
Things are under control in some countries though. They had lockdown, and are recovering .

No 2. subway here in NY this evening. I am surprised the subways are still running at the normal capacity. This definitely isn't social distancing and i see some people wearing masks that won't even protect them from the virus

You realize your second option is not really a realistic options. It'll doom millions.
Look at states across the US (both republicans and democrats). Why haven't all states declared a shelter in place yet?
Look at what Trump said earlier on why he doesn't want to declare a national lockdown "because not every area is a hotspot".
No one wants to believe that it's inevitable. So everyone will drag it out and make things worse, yet it'll still be heaps better than saying eff it and do nothing.

6.6 million filed for unemployment this week. Obama treasury secretary recommends using thin tech to help float money to small businesses. Reason is big banks cannot handle all the small businesses requiring money.
Many of them have closed their doors for good without support. He thinks sooner you get them a life line the better. Boeing though got 900 million release by airforce. Boeing freaking boeing first in line.

Gen Barry McCaffrey blew up on the Navy leadership for punishing a 28 year military man who commanded the aircraft carrier where 100 soldiers tested positive for covid 19. He decided to report to a paper that the carrier he commanded was totally infected by coronavirus.
He did not talk negativity towards the military leaders, likely realized soldiers under his command will die if he did not do something.
He needed to act because Navy leadership was not working fast enough. He fell on the sword for his soldiers to raise this issue.
