Point 2 is so irrelevant right now; November is about 10 years away at this point, according to our new definition of time.

Can I ask, just because I don't want to waste my or your time (unless you are getting something positive out of this discussion, even if just cathartic - in which case ill play along); how do you rate the Trump administrations handling of this?

B- ish

Unless you live in a fantasy, an A response still results in a 100k deaths.

Back in reality, the cdc was working out quality control with tests in all state facilities on feb 11. Now you answer this question.

What did the cdc director outline as the cause of the delay, and why does a country like SK (which seems to be the only place liberals can point to) not face that issue?

Sorry to be a pedant, but is that a B+, B or B-.

I wish I lived in a fantasy right now; might start up world of Warcraft again!

Please enlighten me, re the testing; as this is clearly a question you have asked, when I assume you have an answer? The failure to provide adequate testing, is a world wide failure, imo, i'm not a Trump basher. Simply unacceptable.

My job is not to research for you. If you want to educate yourself, find the cdc press conference statement from the 11th.

I just wanted to know your thoughts; underfunding is the major issue that runs through all of this in my opinion.

You take care of yourself.

Hoax
We have it under control

now that that didn’t work, say 200,000 will die. If 100,000 die, you look like a hero. And they say people who oppose trump have tds? Hahaha
My guess is that 100K is too high to start with, if they get it down to 50K, they'd consider it a win.

Who puts away funds for global epidemics?

Don’t get me wrong, in theory that’s great. But back in the real world we have crumbling infrastructure, an outdated electrical system, etc.

OOF.

That is a terrible admission.

“Well, I don't like to think it did – I think I handled it very well," Trump said at news conference with the White House coronavirus task force. "But I guess it probably did ... I mean, I got impeached."

He added that, "I certainly devoted a little time to thinking about it."

“I don’t manage my financial portfolio, a third party handles it” (teeheeheehee)

No bullshit, She should seriously be hung.

Throw that conservative whore to the migrant hordes. Did I get that right? Tried to add in a little for both sides.

the article clearly states:
Loeffler’s campaign said an investment firm manages the stocks she and her husband own and neither of them has control over the day-to-day decisions to buy or sell fractions of their vast fortune.

of course it's buried in the article.

she's a mega wealthy woman, stocks were at all time highs, so selling was the right thing to do, regardless of the virus or not, a lot of people were moving stocks in preparation of the oncoming election and uncertainty involved. Look at her portfolio, it's active, and very high level, it's not like she wasnt already grilled by Tucker, and she went on his show voluntarily to defend herself. She's only in headlines because she's one of the wealthiest members.

having an outside company managing her finances shows that she's already doing her best effort to avoid any ethics issue, what do you suggest she do with all her money?

Okay mate, now we are having a conversation.

Sensible countries should have been more ready, sorry but its true. This isn't even a very scary virus; imagine this fucker with lets say 8% mortality (technically possible); what state would we be in then.

You are now talking about priorities, which is really interesting; and worthy of a different thread. I'm always looking to find the positive in things; maybe this black swan event; affords us the opportunity to revaluate our priorities; as individuals, as communities, as countries and finally as the human race.

Also to note; the infrastructure you are referring to is liable to other black swan events (solar flares, etc). |Our economies are fucked, hard from a 1% death rate virus (the 10 - 20% hospitalisation is the kicker, I agree), then our economies aren't fit for purpose and need to change; as do our view on our priorities.

I remember you from back in the day. You used to go into threads (back in 2004 or there abouts), and post randomly "The republicans control the executive, the house and the senate; that is all".

Always used to make me laugh, how it used to rile people up.

Keep up the good work.

That is indeed what she said.
...and if you’ll buy that I’ll throw the Golden Gate in for free..
