Trump has a 60% approval rating for his handling of the outbreak.

Fact.
I have seen you bring up this approval rating a bunch as if it means much.
It is just a dumb measurement used by the news and talking heads.
You can get a poll to bolster any argument you want depending on how you frame the question. But polls like these are the worst because theyre looking for simple answers to complicated issues.
Do some poll questions on some of the specific issues people have brought up and see how those numbers look.

Trump is doing better with this NOW than he was before,so I am not surprised to see a high approval rating. But the numbers were in reverse a week ago. To get useful information you have to ask better questions.

Trump wants to reopen the Us around Easter. Why? It’s a beautiful time of the year. Tackling covid on hunches and his favourite time of the year. Hahaha. This is gold.

Fact.
That means Biden will crush Trump based on polls fact lol.

The mortality rate is unknown, but nowhere close to 3%.

It's panic though. Plain and simple. It's not just a bunch of old people catching it, causing resources to be low. It's everyone showing up thinking they have it, causing the staff to be overwhelmed with potential cases. What makes it especially hard for them, is that they can't really test everyone in a timely manner, which leads them to be extremely precautionary and hold people who may not even have it. If you break it down, hospitals can indeed manage the reported numbers of confirmed cases(at least I would hope so). It's the outliers holding them up, and causing chaos.
Christ...
There is no immunity because this is a novel virus that attacks the respiratory system and his highly contagious. Most people can stay home and ride it out, but by the onset of symptoms they will have already have infected 2-4 more people. The problem is when ICU's are overloaded. You can 3-D print as many ventilators as you want in as many makeshift hospital rooms in hotels as you want, the real problem is the lack of ICU doctors you need to treat these people. So then hospitals are asking ER doctors, pneumologists ,residents and other specialists to step in and effectively take them away from their regular work to take care of the high influx of people coming in with severe respiratory issues. Then what about those non covid patients showing up at the ER from a car accident, head trauma, gun shot wound, asthma attacks, stroke etc who might not be able to see a doctor because some ER docs are in ICU to give the ICU specialists a break. Some of these cases that would otherwise be saved, are now dead. The Covid mortality rate is one thing, but its ability to infect a fuckton of people in a short amount of time putting serious strain on all of health care because many of them WILL require hospitalization. This isn't just people with the sniffles going on ventilators. People with sniffles are properly triaged. This goes beyond all of this, and your oversimplification of the situation is precisely why your country is going to possibly suffer a fate worse than Italy's.

Heretic is Canadian btw, he just has a weird USA fetish

The numbers don't lie , the number of new cases and deaths every day in the US tell you all you need to know on how it's being handled.

For some strange reason the numbers are much , much better in Canada .

The curve is hitting a really hard steep at the moment. The number of cases and deaths are going to rise very fast. A lot of bodies are going to get picked up at home from people without health insurance or refusing to go because they can't afford, or for being turned away because they have no space for them. It's not going to be good. Literally every other country except the US is taking severe measures. Even that fat rightwing fuck Doug Ford in Ontario is being serious about this. The Trump reaction and his mixed messages to try and save face and keep the markets high while trying to act like he's taking the situation seriously is going to get a lot of people killed

Oh', but of course. I'm sure you'd play defense so desperately if polls had him at 10%...

You're fooling nobody
lol Your argument for everything is "but...."

And Im still right. I wont argue against actual numbers and accurate information because Im not a Republican. And I have no issue giving props where they are due.
For example, the reporter that Trump yelled at the other day was terrible, and he was asking a bunch of stupid questions. I cant stand media jackasses like that.

Im not saying that polls are all bullshit, but the number was literally in reverse last week. And you keep bringing it up like it has meaning.
It is a useless number considering much of the criticism stems from what led up to this, all the things he did and didnt do prior to now...not what he is currently doing after he finally got his shit together.

In Michigan they have 638 people on ventilators they have no more of them in the state. If the number have climbed up they cannot help people currently. A scientist and glass blower are working on new piping that will allow a ventilator efficiently share the ventilator with 2 patients.

Literally every other country except the US is taking severe measures.

Did you go to the LCBO or Beer Store today? Or will you tomorrow? They're "essential services" after all...

Those "severe" measures though...

Don't lie to people.

Im not saying that polls are all bullshit, but the number was literally in reverse last week.

And this is why nobody takes you guys seriously. Last week his approval rating was at 55% according to Politico. You're LITERALLY just pulling numbers out of your ass to make you feel better.

You said his approval rating of how he was handling the corona virus. That is what I am talking about, the virus.
And you know the main point here is about how numbers in certain polls dont mean shit depending on what the question is.

I saw you talking about these numbers way back in the thread, im pretty sure it was you that posted or referenced this.

The numbers are in reverse in 1 week.

But you sidetrack this to ignore my point because you have no argument. You cant give a 'yes or no' answer on how Trump is doing on this issue and call yourself informed

He says he's American I think

It's Sketch who is Canadian but "identifies" as American lol

I have never seen @HereticBD claim to be an American. I know him as a proud Canadian. @Sketch though, he seems ashamed of his great country. There is always room for a Canadian flag in the WR.

Are you drunk, or is that a prediction?

If it's a prediction, good luck with that wishful thinking. He climbed 5%, despite you dolts thinking he's killing the world, and everyone hates his approach...

EDIT - Oh' I see what you're trying to say. Thing is, it's trending upwards. Yes, it was at 43%...then it went to 55%...then it went to 60%...

That's a positive trajectory, despite all the fuck ups you seem to think he's made. It's not a one off. It's only gonna go up, barring it mutating into the Black Death.

Canada is handling this crisis much more smoothly than most. I have never been more proud to live in Canada and identify as American.
