In fairness, it does name that Hooper guy further down after the “two senior IRS officials said will probably lead to a delay in issuing the first batch of paper checks.” So I’ll cede you that one.

In my defense the abcnews story I read earlier didn’t mention him and only had the “two senior officials” as the source.

It seems very, very likely someone like Hooper would actually have tangible experience with this printing process whereas the Treasury spokeswoman would be trained in media relations and public speaking and her job is to convey whatever political message her appointed bosses wish.

Following the campaign closely for the first time as a non american is a funny thing to do.
My conclusions are :
You're all not living in a democracy, the two political party are trash and are not really in power, they are corrupted ploutocrats working for their generous donators (who are basically the same people for both) , the press is lying to the people and corrupted also, and the people are uneducated and follow stupidly what the medias tell them.

Republicans traditionally talk about shrinking government and making tax cuts. In reality they usually keep it the same or expand it while making cuts. They also generally want to gut the federal govts ability to fund things they they see as infringing on the private markets. Democrats want the same if not bigger or much bigger govt. They typically talk about tax raises. They want to drive funding into social safety nets and investment in scientific research.

I could go on.

This is why they are trying to fast track testing. So those who have recovered or had the disease and didn't know can get back to work. There's no reason why some people can't get back to work.
People outside of big cities are basically ignoring the stay at home orders and treating it like a vacation anyway. Convenience stores are busier than ever up here. People going in and out, sitting in their cars scratching lottery tickets, buying gross cheap beer, energy drinks , slim jims and the like.

The administration has been saying they're fast tracking testing since February. When the WH decides they want to cease funding to the states for coronavirus funding, only to back down when pressed, this betrays where they want to go.

And this is while the Air Bridge corruption is still going on.

Also, that's a rather generalized state of affairs you're fabricating in describing America's less urban population.

It's been over a month and great news, we've got 5 parking lots up and running. Amazing execution, such a swift response. By 2050 we should have enough going for everyone.
