Law Coronavirus the US GOV'T Response analysis Thread v2

Of course Trump's threat against governors doesn't have anything to do with actual religious rights. It's just another craven attempt to save his own faltering campaign.

Behind Trump’s demand to reopen churches: Slipping poll numbers and alarm inside his campaign
Trump was counting on widening support from white religious voters this fall. The pandemic is sending his numbers the other way.

Because ultimately, if you're viewed as weak and incompetent in the face of a deadly enemy, politics begins to dissolve.

Trump trying to “but Obama” his golf outings is like Vitor accusing someone of using too much TRT.

Those are the tweets that make it clear he has no one around him doing anything but placating his every thought. Any one with an ounce of sense and influence on him would’ve never let him tweet that.
Trump has a cohort of children and wannabe-policy makers around him. Some placate because that's what larva do and some placate because they know it's how they can stay where they are and continue driving down whatever batshit crazy road they're on.

There are NO adults left in the room.

Next bonus check go back to work an get a government bonus check lol. Did Wall Street have to go back to work when they got 100's of billions? I'm self employed do I need to get a job?

More to that story...nobody behaves like that for no reason..She did something else.

I believe this as well. I don’t wear a mask when I go out and see about an equal number of people with or without them.

I was at Home Depot on Monday and as long as you give people space there shouldn’t be a problem. I have seen zero altercations over this. The area I love in has handled it well and proved you can be open while keeping things under control.

yeah but it clearly centers around her not wearing a mask. otherwise there would have been a LOT more shit talking/flexing.

I mean, you know New York bro haha. when do you ever see people grouping up together, telling one person to leave the vincinity? haha kind of crazy when you think about it.

43% Of COVID-19 Deaths Are In Nursing Homes & Assisted Living Facilities Housing 0.6% Of U.S.

Americans are vigorously debating the merits of continuing to lock down the U.S. economy to prevent the spread of COVID-19. A single statistic may hold the key to resolving this debate: the astounding share of deaths occurring in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Nursing homes and assisted living facilities: The #1 COVID problem

2.1 million Americans, representing 0.62% of the U.S. population, reside in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. (Nursing homes are residences for seniors needing help with activities of daily living, such as taking a shower or getting dressed, who also require 24/7 medical supervision; assisted living facilities are designed for seniors who need help with activities of daily living, but don’t require full-time on-site medical supervision.)

According to an analysis that Gregg Girvan and I conducted for the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity, as of May 22, in the 39 states that currently report such figures, an astounding 43% of all COVID-19 deaths have taken place in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

State governments bear much more of the responsibility for the depth of the COVID-19 pandemic than many Americans appreciate. But that also means that states have the opportunity to learn from their own mistakes and do the right thing: by protecting vulnerable seniors, and letting millions of Americans get back to work.

Just to put this out there that during Incompetent Dons first 3 years in office he has constantly touted the Rasmussen poll as the poll to look at because it usually favors him. Well oh how the times are a changin.

According to Trumps own favorite source his approval rating is plummeting. Trump now sits at 42% according to Trumps own favorite poll that he has cited 28 times on Twitter and this is from a source that almost always shows favorable numbers to republicans. 42% is pure shit boys and girls and you can thank Incompetent Dons abysmal handling of the corona virus.

just last week Insanely Low iq Don told Fox News that they needed to fire their pollster for reporting the truth about how bad his numbers are.

The end is near my friends

So just fuck seniors then?

Did you read what you posted? I mean, what’s the real point of the Forbes article that you took time to bold segments of?
The point is that it doesn't make sense to lock up the vast majority of people who are not at risk, but it makes sense to protect nursing homes
