I bet it's driving him absolutely insane. There is a man that is almost never accountable for anything, big or small, but the humiliation over rambling about injecting disinfectants has actually broken through to all but the hardiest members of his base. This time the professional bully has too small of a crowd standing behind laughing along uncomfortably, and I think he probably hates it deeply.

It's the lack of accountability throughout his entire life that makes him believe he can simply deny saying shit that millions of people have seen him say. He ran a company funded by daddy, with no board of directors, surrounded by yes men. He's paid off hookers and bought silence and didn't have anyone around that would challenge him on his stupid shit. As president, anyone in the administration that challenges or contradicts anything he says ends up on his shit list and fades into the background. The only thing he cares about his loyalty, not competence.

Even now there's really no accountability. He gets asked questions by the press and just deflects and pouts and there are never any consequences. He has stonewalled every single investigation without ever having to give testimony. He's said so much stupid shit that everyone is numb to it. He's said dozens of things that would tank any other politician. Nobody in the Republican party even comments on any of it anymore and the party is a cult of personality at this point. He's got millions of blind followers that will either stick their head in the sand and ignore the shit he says or actively celebrate his stupidity because it bothers rational people and apparently the only goal of conservatives at the moment is to own the libs.

Seems people would rather not work for more money than go back to work for less money than they are drawing from the system. Surprise. What a dumb idea that was.

I already saw where bars/restaurants are opening/preparing to open and are having to reach out to all their employees to fill even the few/limited roles at first. Nobody wants to come back when they're making $8/hour or MORE by not working. $10/hour more based on a 40-hour work week versus a 0-hour work week?
Anyone making less than $1000/week or so will take a pass or get a doctor's note or say they are scared to come back. To collect the $1000/week (or more depending upon state) unemployment. Obviously.
