The economic impact of the cut in the chinese supply lines will devastate China, could risk a recession and will directly impact all the countries that sell shit to China, building materials commodities and what not, Chinese govt is dealing with this because not gonna lie, the entire country could go to shit real fast
I'm slightly scared not so much for myself but for older folks. I still don't have a good grasp of this thing yet. If you look at Modeling predictions like from the Gate's foundation Institute for Disease then we are still in the calm before the storm scenario. Just note that the modeling has actually been pretty damn accurate in regards to the current coronavirus not with deaths in this case but just from showing the spreading of a virus. It's in that Month 2 - 3 phase where the potential for this thing to spread like wildfire and we are not there yet. We still have a week or so before we might see this break out. If we can get to March without anything major we might be in very good shape but these next few weeks really will be telling since it's already in the North America and Europe.

i think people forget something, you dont even need some chinese person to come to your city, China is the world capital of organ harvesting and traffiking, imagine some poor sap thats getting a new liver or some shit from some political prisoner in China that had a super bad day, that guy is gonna get it and spread it all over just because the transplant, and that is going on everywhere
That disease modeling seems much more align with some kind of super flu that would be far far worse than this BUT it's analysis on the spreading itself globally has been so accurate(so far) that it's scary especially that they did this almost 2 years ago. Thats why I'm a bit worried as we are clearly still early in the ball game with this thing especially with the incubation periods being so long from what we know. I'll be really curious what this looks like in 2-3 weeks. Hopefully an overblown thing like most things but never know.
