Giant corporate entities tat make their money off milking the middle class do pay taxes.. I wouldn't call them city folk. You sound highly delusional. Detroit and Baltimore have insanely high amounts of "folk" on welfare, so the fact that GM's headquarters (not sure, but ren-cen) is in Detroit doesn't mean what you think it means. I mean, your comments aren't really worth responding to because you obviously have issues that makes you say things, but "city folk" in many cities have huge areas that have difficulty maintaining a grocery store.
 
Remember when the WHO said China's response was like the greatest response ever and that there should have been no travel restrictions to China? Those of that survive this will look back on that and laugh.

Cliffs:
- 2 argentinians who lives in China came back to Argentina
- First scale in Dubai they had to went through a lot of health controls
- Second scale in Rio de Janeiro, not so much
- Arrived to Buenos Aires. No controls
- Saw a sign that said "if you have been in China and you have cough or fever call this number: xx"
- They decided to stay in Capital Federal isolated in the hotel for a couple of days. Just went outside once to buy food.
- They called the # and were told that if they didn't have syntoms they are good to go.

Also I'm going to translate their first hand experience in China:

Weeks ago, before Chinese New Year a rumor started that there was a new virus, it seems to be something local and us, as foreigns didn't knew mmuch about it. After a few days they knew that the situation was complicated and that they needed to be careful.
The guy says: "On january 22 I started using a mask but it was pretty normal that people use mask because of the pollution. In the pharmacy they sold you up 2 packages".
Next day, on January 23, the Chinese government closed Hubei and Hunan provinces, it was an after and before. Everybody realized that there was an extremly contagious virus".
"Every day the situation aggravated and there were more strict controls. You could not go out without a mask, you got your temperature checked and it was a card-system to see who lived at the building and who could go inside".
"In the supermarket you had to scan a QR code that would detect in which region you had been and if you represented any kind of risk"
By february 10th Chinese govermnet extended vacations and companies started to take actions: At first it was individual food and after that home office. If there were cases of sicks employees the government demanded (physically) closing the company. There are controls in airports, work, commerces and universities.
He also adds:
"Every measure taken by the government have generated calm, the rates are getting lower and there are provinces without new infections".

So.. my conclusions are:

- We are screwed. Luckly our health system is pretty good (bunch of public hospitals with incredibly good doctors and a lot of people who have private insurance because of work)
- The country is super big and there are not many dense and polluted cities.
- People using masks in China on a regular basis because of the pollution? I'm not suprised COVID hit that hard there.. what a shithole. Poor people.

I'm still not worried but I'm fully expecting a couple of thousands infections and a hundred of few hundred deaths here.

Why are you telling me that your vote isn't what makes you American? I was responding to someone else making that claim and just refuting their logic.

That map sure would be impressive if it wasn't for all that red being empty land. The vast majority of the nation resides in those blue areas.

Damn, everything was fine for the first 5 versions then v6 went downhill fast. This thread has been destroyed by like...3 or 4 people at most. That's all it takes.

I myself think that 5G is unnecessary and will do more harm then good and it is scary to think there could be issues related to it that are being masked by the Corona Virus. Also I have not heard previously that Wuhan rolled out 5G right before or around the time of the outbreak so who knows.

First thing I thought was, check to see if 5G is in Iran. It’s not. Ergo, I consider this theory debunked - though I had a pretty low threshold of disbelief to begin with.

And this illustrates the condescension rife in everything espoused by democrats. It is hard to believe in the compassion and magnanimity they claim to hold as guiding principles when huge segments of our own society are deemed lesser by virtue of location or political bent.

Yeah, I know. My mom just came down really sick with the flu across town. Makes it hit home what other people are going through. It's brutal when that urge to take care of someone is the worst thing you can do.
