It's basically Russian propaganda. There's a UFC-DanaWhite-Trump-Putin connection here that is not a coincidence.

The former soviet states had a large number of athletes test positive during the 2016 olympics, and Russia tried to discredit the Turinabol metabolite test. They put forward the same argument that people could be testing positive without having intentionally taken Turinabol, arguing that you could find turinabol metabolites in even the blood of coffee drinkers.

They didn't use the buzzword "pulsing" but they make a semantically identical argument. WADA rejected it and none of the olympic bans have been overturned.

Science is conclusive. If you have turinabol metabolites in your blood, you have taken turinabol in the last 3-6 months.

These articles seem to be concerning a molecule or metabolite TMZ. I'm not really familiar with it. I actually wasn't even aware of this story, so it's an interesting find.

Also, USADA is throwing bullshit soup into their document, throwing every possible explanation for the TMZ tests into the mix, and trying to pander their pulsing theory. There is no evidence that WADA bought the pulsing explanation. The Yahoo article simply says they believed the Chinese team wasn't doping, and that some environmental or food contamination was the source of the test results.

There's obviously some politics at play here, and I think WADA's decision to let the Chinese athletes off the hook is bullshit. But I don't see anything to do with Turinabol here.

Even if pulsing was proven for this TMZ molecule, which by the way these links don't say shit about that being proven, you can't just generalize that to every molecule/metabolite. You need to do double blinded studies for every single metabolite you detect to determine whether pulsing is an issue for those molecules, because even if two molecules do show pulsing, the timeframes for which they are detectable after ingestion are completely different.
