Cormier to Conor: "Don't get slept!"

Like it or not, cheering for Conor is cheering for MMA. The entire sport will lose credit if he's humiliated and KOed in the first round.
Not really lol
Considering boxing is only part of mma
Now if Floyd came in well he can do everything he does in boxing in the UFC
But his opponents can do much much more

I completely disagree. Would Floyd getting tapped out in an MMA fight cause boxing to lose credit. It's a different sport and intelligent people understand that.

MMA will only lose credit in the eyes of people who have no respect for MMA anyway.
It would show that MMA doesn't have the elite strikers that people claim it does.

MMA lost credit when WME bought the UFC and turned it into The Real Housewives.

Yeah, because your so tough. Its easy to say that stuff from the sideline, but when your someone as competitive as DC, you prepare for a fight for 2 years which has been schedueled 5 times, and everyone tells you your not the real champ because you have to beat this one guy, and then you fall short. Not to mention, that DC was thoroughly unconscious and concussed, so imagine waking up from a concussion not knowing what happened and for the first time seeing the KO on the big screen. Try to control your emotions after a concussion in the biggest event of your sports career....
Every other fighter goes thru the exact same things.
Then why is Cormier the only one that cries? Exactly

Pick all that apply to you:
a) You grew up in such a violent environment you are impervious to emotions during adversity.
b) You have cried yourself to sleep countless times so its hard to cry anymore.
c) You are entitled and still live at mom and dads house.
d) You have no life experience and have never been through anything terrible enough that would warrant tears.
e) all of the above

Why is Cormier the only fighter I've ever seen cry, Cummins even revealed that Cormier used to cry back in training practice.

he's a bitch that hides behind his strength and fighting ability.
He's a bully just like cowboy said.

And when you put a bully in their place like Jon did they cry like little bitches

Well this fight meant alot for both fighters more than a regular fight, more was on the line and at stake. And fighters cry all the time. Gustafsson cried, AJ cried, BJ Penn cried, Rashad Evans cried, Jose Aldo cried, Forrest Griffin cried, and even Jones cried after the Gus fight. ALOT of fighters cry, and you may not see it but back stage or once there home alot of them cry.

And yet again its really hard to control your emotions after suffering from a concussion as severe as DC had.

cummins revealed that Cormier used to cry in training practice years ago. This isn't a first-time thing for Cormier he's a crybaby

WTF are you talking about?

There is absolutely no loss of credit if Conor loses in any fashion. It's exactly what is expected by the land of the sane and reasonable. Conor competing against Floyd in a boxing match has absolutely nothing to do with the credibility of MMA, and everything to do with a small percentage of very rich people making even more money off how fucking dumb a large percentage of people are.

Yeah I know DC is an emotional guy. But when he cried after that training session he was going through alot of problems. He had just lost his 3 month old daughter in a horrific accident with a 16 wheeler, and was suffering from depression. For cummins to talk about that before their fight was not only disrespectful since he knew DC's situation but against the unwritten rule in wrestling which is to keep training session stuff in training. Cummins is a scum bag for that and DC got revenge by KO'ing him inside 1rd.

And what do you care if he cries. Some people are more emotional than others, and DC seems to have had a horrific life and cries in reaction to things that mean alot to him. What do you care if another man is emotional...

You see a emotional family man that was just concussed and having a weak moment.
I see a smart mouth bully getting put in his place..... that's why he cried.
He wasn't even man enough to stand there for McCarthy to raise jons arm when they announced the winner.

He threw McCarthy's arm and stormed out of the cage like a bitch

I don't think the situation is perfectly symmetrical because grappling isn't part of boxing the way boxing is part of MMA.

Would it be more symmetrical if I said Conor would KO Floyd in a Kickboxing match with ease and I still don't think it takes away from boxing.

The point is that even if certain parts of a discipline can be applied it still a completely different sport and losing to one of the greatest of all time in one does not discredit the other.

DC was concussed. At that point he had not seen the replay and thought it was an early stoppage. When dudes get knocked out they don't even know where the fuck they are, and DC ate one too many shots. When DC wobbled away from Big John he was probably still out on his feet. Thats not the way DC is most of the time, and has since apologized for his actions and Big John totally understood that DC was not in his right frame of mind. How can you not see this? Judging DC's behavior after being concussed and saying he's rude n shit is like judging someones walking or driving when they drunk out of their minds.

If Conor makes it 12 rounds with Floyd then I'll take that as a big achievement for Conor and MMA.
To make it 12 rounds, Conor would have to remain alone in the ring for 8 rounds: he's knocking Floyd out in the 4th.
