PS5 outperformed Xbox Series X for that locked 60 FPS at dynamic resolution scaling.. up to 15% better...

as for the Series S. Meh...

You cannot use just one game to compare the performance and lighting on the games wait till a number of games to compare it. At first I thought the XBox lighting and shadows looked better but latter the colors started to look better on the PS5. You have to wait to get more comparisons because one game could have had more time with PS5 emulation hardware.

Thats basically what the guy in the video I posted said. Developers had the PS5 dev kits for longer.

How on earth are the textures that much better on the PS5? Arent 3rd party games meant to be performing better on the XSX? Its like nearly every new game is performing better on the PS5 in general.

Cerny did say that they designed the PS5 with the intention of making it easier to develop for. Makes sense they can push the console harder from the get go. I can only imagine how good games will look 4-5 years down the line.

And ultimately the difference between the two will be negligible. Xbox was hyped as the power machine. It’s going to come down to games, as it always has.

It will probably come down to exclusives utilizing the full power of the Series X. Multiplatform titles will probably have generally the same performance for both systems like they did for the past two generations.

To be fair, it seems like there's something wrong with the series x version.

Meaning the Xbox is using more advanced development tools that were only just created for the new hardware architecture to take advantage of the latest features. So once patches come through the XSX will close deficit relative to processing power, which means either superior performance, or equal performance, but with stronger features.

Sony has already said they will add VRS support, for example, at a later date. This is just a single feature, and they haven't even stated what that date will be.

Microsoft invited digital foundry to their office to let them personally check out the series x hardware back in March. Microsoft wouldn't do that if they were that biased. Plus they can actually back their claims up with data.

Why don’t you watch earlier DF vids of their Xbox series x reviews when they were drooling over the system and praising the design..

Just because you don’t like what they’ve found in their testing results don’t make them biased..

I've heard this before. The Xbox has untapped potential beyond anything on Playstation. And then 7 years go by with nothing to show for it.
