I've never really met anyone who doesnt believe in dangers from environmental problems. People seem to agree on that one in my experience, though of course many are apathetic anyways.
you're being invaded and what this, and numerous other indignities being done to you, means is that all the gun worship was the wrong way to go (and this comes from someone who wishes he lived in a place where i could get guns). a lot of conservatives simply prepared for the apocalypse, getting atomized and building bunkers (physical or mental), failing to realize it's their inaction to stop it that leads there in the first place, not participating to communal discussions, not being part of the decision making. it's letting your education system get coopted by radicals, it's letting your judicial and police and army and executive, legislative branches getting coopted by radicals, while the reaction to that has been let me buy some more bullets and guns. Conservatives keep a country together, protecting it from the divisive forces of the left. Their absence from the public square, from education, justice, debate, is what will destroy America.

It was supposed to scare absolutely everyone. I'm sure your going to give some insightful interpretation of it being satire while highlighting all the little gems that must have flown over everyone's head, but at the end of the day, that movie was made with the person who views climate change as an existential crisis in mind.
