Will Conor's lack of a jab become problematic in this matchup? He doesn't use it very often whereas Nate does.
How will this affect the fight?

A " full camp striker"? Like Aldo, Poirier, Holloway, Siver, or Brimage? It's gonna be problematic when he finally faces a full camp striker. I think Nate will personally use his jab and reach to fluster Conor.
It just struck me that wing chun could be very effective for Conor in this fight
True, and if that works for him then more power to him. There are lots of guys and gals who use kicks as jabs and it seems to be a pretty good technique, especially the body kicks. But, a nice punching jab is always something worth investing in imo. I think against a good all around striker his kicks wouldn't be enough. Especially since he doesn't throw leg kicks. His kicks are his jabs.
Forget Wing Chun. Jee Kun Do is the future of MMA.
Why do they just stop after the chain blocking and throw 1 pitty patter slap and pretend that's a fight ending strike?
They're blocking like 1000 strikes at blazing speed then tap the dude's face and pretend like that's going to decapitate the other guy and the fight's over.
We see it the same way.If Nate establishes the jab he will get a spinning back kick to the liver.
That being said, WAR NATE!!!!!
jab is useless in mma, fighters who rely on it too much get no kos and easily countered
