Conor has shorter reach. He can't play the jab game with Nate. He has to use his mewvement, speed and accuracy.

nate's jab could be the whole strategy. with the reach advantage he should be able to get there first most of the time with it.

and fighters having trouble with a reach problem often look very different than their usual selves. not that gray maynard is in the same league as conor in striking, but at the time he fought diaz he was on a tear and he looked totally baffled trying to get inside to get at him.
