Conor will choose Kabib, not Tony..here's why

You're overrating Ferguson's wrestling and underrating Khabib's striking (which isn't pretty but is very effective).

Ferguson's TD game isn't really anything special like Khabib's, it's just that he's the closest thing we have to a boa constrictor in human form once he gets his claws dug in.

khabib got lit up in the first round against michael johnson. there's a clip of the conor camp watching that fight looking very unimpressed. I think conor thinks he can knock him out before khabib gets him to the ground

Ferguson gets hit clean far more than Khabib. And Tony is happy to keep it standing, giving Conor more of a chance to actually use his strengths and land the knockout.

The Conor vs Tony fight I expect would be somewhat similar to Nate, Conor will land clean shots for 2 rounds and if Tony can survive then his cardio advantage would see him take over. At least with Tony Conor will be able to land his shots while he's still fresh.

Against Khabib there's a risk he ends up against the cage and then on his back within a minute, and once Khabib has beat the piss out of you for a round you're too compromised to do anything for the rest of the fight.

The longer Conor sits on the sidelines and watches his competition take eachother out, the better he feels. He's still sick that Khabib hasn't been knocked off yet.

erm..no. Tony is the interim champ. He deserves to fight Conor, not khabib. Doesn't make sense. Conor can't choose now..before Tony won that belt , yes, but now..no way buddeh

If he does fight either of the two, and its no small if...

Then since he loses in grappling (whether on feet or ground) against BOTH of them, Khabibs superioirty here does not matter.

In the standup, however, it clearly makes sense (for a calculating sly guy like conor) to choose Kabib rathr than Fergie.

Therefore,Kabib is obvious choice for Conor, because his stand up is too rubbish, whereas his better grapping is irrelevant if the fight gets to the ground

Conor won't be choosing. He is either going to fight Tony. or not fight Tony and get stripped. If he chooses not to fight Tony and gets stripped, he will either fight the winner of the 2 of them or won't be fighting.
