This is not a fight you make from a long term investment perspective, this is a short sighted money grab. Something to boost valuation from PPV sales at the end of the year to fetch a bigger price in the sale

I didn't believe that Zuffa was selling hte UFC before, but now I do

are you drunk right now?
no, if Zuffa was committed to UFC in the long term, putting the FW division on hold and destroying Conor's brand doesn't make sense.

This fight only make sense if Zuffa needs to boost company valuation before an imminent sale

This actually makes sense. It's called a pump and dump.

This thread is evidence of you being a fucking moron.

I think you're right in a way. I would say this is evidence of Zuffa selling out. We have to remember Sherdoggers ( for the most part) represent the hard core, knowledgeable demographic of MMA fans. What Zuffa is doing is they're selling out to the casual fan, in other words trying to go mainstream. It usually happens in the music/movie industry and generates more revenue short term, but ultimately leads to the watering down of the product and the alienation of the "hardcore" contingent and even more impotantly , the fighters themselves. Zuffa needs to tread carefully because there are other promotions waiting in the wings biding their time for the right time to make their move.

Never did you think UFC 200 would be headlined with a non title WW fight including Nate Diaz. NEVER.

Not before there was money in it. They've got two English speaking shit talkers, who hate each other and now have a little rivalry going. It's money in the bank. Nobody cares about the FW division, including the champ.

What next? Rockhold vs Werdum?

That actually makes sense.

By far the best explanation for this otherwise utterly retarded matchup.

I think making this fight will be a tremendous risk. Conor has been over worked and distracted from training and won't want to do the media. This will make the bald father angry and kick him off UFC 200.

Who could they get to headline in his place Bones is coming back from suspension perhaps he will come save the day making up for 151. He is looking different due to a recent interest in power lifting I wouldn't be shocked if Bones gets popped for peds and he blames it on dick pills.

If all that happened a sale of the company I too see probably happening soon after for about 4 Billion UFC is a quality asset easily = to the value of Yankees and Dallas cowboys.

This thread is bullshit. Nobody would be stupid enough to buy the UFC from Zuffa with USADA closing in
