I felt like I was spitting in the wind defending Conor here, there was an army of people who thought Aldo wouldn't lose. I thought both would keep it standing and it plays to Conor's strength. Conor winning wasn't in the realm of possibility to many. They thought Conor was just a freakshow given easy fights.

The main thing is, when Conor was on his momentum he was a madman risk taker in a very exciting way.

When his back was against the wall, like it was with the Khabib thing, we saw a different side of him. He wasnt fun anymore, just mean-spirited.

Aldo got caught and while it was an iconic KO for McGregor, I would have loved to see a 5 round war between these two. Arguably could have been an even bigger fight.

I felt that Conor ran away from 145 because of the weight cut, but I also think he was happy to have a KO over Aldo and wasn't going to risk being 1-1 with him. Him moving to 155 and fighting Eddie was the smarter career choice.

He was the champion at 145. So he didnt "run away"

He was def tired of making the weight, but it was a risk to move up to a new weight class too, and the Nate Diaz fights was a big hurdle for him, when the RDA fight fell through.

I am positive that if a title shot in another weight class wasnt on the table, he would have absolutley fought Aldo again. Fuck the risk, its all about the money. Huge money fight. He only didnt take it cos he had a chance to make even more.

That the UFC rigged the tables against Aldo and he played right into it.

Got Conor talking shit to him for a year around the world and made Aldo rage swing for the fences in the opening seconds running into the fist of a guy with a huge reach advantage.

All Aldo needed was to stay on the outside and kick until round 3 and then knock him out but he his the emotions get to him.
