Yes Islam is a tough matchup for him, but think about this....
Almost every one of the Dagestani Sherdog disciplines seems to agree that Khabib is the better grappler, and has the stronger chin by a mile. As good as Khabib was at grappling, Conor was able to stifle him on the ground in early rounds, and force many stand-up exchanges, and Khabib necessarily had to eat punches in that process.
Islam would be in more standup exchanges due to his slightly inferior grappling and increased willingness to stand, but he doesn't survive those shots. Not a one punch KO but one gets through that changes his equilibrium, and it dominoes from there.
