Essentially I view his "look!!! All negative results!!" BS as a tacit admission of previous guilt on his part. He's trying too hard....

He was out for a long time way before that fight was scheduled and there was tensions for many months between him and the UFC leading up to that fight finally being scheduled.

Also, in Conor's last fight he suffered a horrendous leg break that not a single fighter has come back from and done well.

If you had suffered that leg break, would you want to get into your very next fight after that with already a broken bone in your body?

Two Conor fights is a much nicer carrot to dangle than one fight left on his contract, particularly when he talks about leaving and going to BKFC.

Honestly he isn't competitive as a MMA fighter anymore. His best bet is some sort of boxing or bareknuckle. He probably wants to get out of his contract. He can probably earn something without promoting with the UFC. I suspect it would be a lot less but he would be able to keep the majority of the revenue.

I believe he has an expiration date on his contract. It might be coming up soon. If you are the promotion. Do you put him in a fight and promote the hell out of him before he leaves? This is crazy. When he fought Eddie he was 20-3, he was fighting 2-3 times a year. He's had 4 fights since 2016, and he's 1-3.

Dana always says he contractually owes every fighter x amount of bouts per year, sometimes ufc play with this by offering fights that they know a fighter won't take and thereby extend the contract, but we don't hear that being the case with Conor so I wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

There aren't many Russian wrestlers in the division. He can just refuse them too. I think he wanted Chandler because Chandler is short and tends to brawl.

I think he is shot. I don't believe he beats a striker but there is always the slight chance there is some magic left.
