We just can't see what is really happening. We see one punch but he is in fact throwing three. We see one kick? He is landing 4. Mcgregor Fast lives up to his name.
Of course he can't plant that rear leg; he never properly rehabbed it!
There was a long time after Conor's injury where his right leg was literally twice the size of his left leg. He spent all his effort after surgery bulking up his body, none of it on the hard work needed to make sure his leg healed properly, and all that extra mass only made his sparse rehab more painful and less effective. Sure, his leg eventually healed well enough for Conor to be able to even out his leg size in the gym, but that doesn't mean it healed well enough to be able to put real athletic stress on the leg safely or without significant pain. Now he's slow as fuck with simplistic footwork and keeps weight off the damaged leg.
Where is the footage of Conman slicing the mitts in half and bifurcating his pad man with his titanium leg? It's actually thrown so fast he inadvertently rips the skin off the metal
Maybe he's hamming it up so his next opponent underestimates him, but what a drop in speed. Sad if that's real sparring. I initially thought he could change his style to be a stocky power puncher, but not that slow. His punches were never that explosive, but well timed with decent power.
