A person without drive and determination may look at it and think simply forcing thoughts and telling yourself something will fall into your lap is possible. A person with drive will look at it and see a that self belief and positive thinking will allow you to achieve your dreams if you sell out to the goal.

I agree the secret is bullshit. I am still a believer in the law of attraction and self fulfilling prophecy just not the spin the secret puts on it.
 
Nothing wrong with positive thinking, at least your thinking. Nothing magical about it either.

Never read the book, but obviously Conor isn't neglecting the hard work. He sees it in his mind, step by step, and then he takes those steps in the physical realm.

im not a scientist and cant quote the studies but the placebo effect is a real thing. That proves that belief alone can create positive or negative effects on peoples lives.
 
Let me tell you the real secret... People who think the degree of certainty of a positive outcome is absolute, tend to take the steps necessary to make said outcome a reality.

If you think that no matter what you will get your ass beat, you probably will accept your fate. Examples of this are pretty much everyone who has ever fought GSP or Anderson.

I agree. Conor has also said that his confidence comes from the work he puts in and the success he has achieved from it.
 
I dont think he would ever have had belief in being a UFC champion had it not been for his knowledge of his deadly left hand and his natural talent. You cant simply talk yourself into believing in something to that extent if its not possible to begin with.
