Look how many shots that pea Head needed.

I see so much delusion here. I guess it's true what they say, your idol is your mirror

“I’ve the best ground and pound in the game,” McGregor wrote. “My highest percentage of finishes does not actually come from my standing horizontal back hand, like most assume. My highest percentage of finishing wins actually come from the accuracy of my vertical punching (you are all novices vertical striking. Arm hitters. Ask ref to stop it hitters. Fall over on yourself hitters).

“I don’t miss [ground and pound]. I do not hit arms. I do not fall in. I hit soft face, head and skull.”

I think it's up there in his prime yes. Reminds me alot of Anderson silvas, very precise and finish oriented.

Allegedly he's good at ground and pounding women without their consent.

No, that isn't ground & pound lol

What he is really saying is he tries to finish the fight after he's rocked them & they stumble down. We haven't ever seen any ground & pound from Conor. The guy is truly delusional sometimes.

Conor absolutely sucks on the ground it's his weakness. Like I've always said he's a one dimensional fighter.

If by ground and pound he means tapping to signal surrender to the better man then, yes, he is a master of ground and pound.

Are the guys on the ground when he hits them? Yes? Then its Ground and Pound!!
If you need to work so hard to try to make your point valid, its a pretty weak point.

Follow up shots on unconscious dudes at a competitively lower accuracy is easy and not as impressive as taking someone down and relentlessly beating on them. With more strikes at a higher accuracy

Okay then.. So from Conor’s own mouth can we put an end to this “head clean off”, “nobody can take that left hand” bullshit?

It’s hilarious how he has pretty much contradicted in either actions or words every single thing that made him popular. Yet he still has fans. lol

sound bytes sell better than facts. The only remaining conor fans are personality fans.

they don’t care about the record. The like the character.

Or they’re trolling. never know these days.

Why so much triggered in the comments? Do yall expect Conor to just go off the grid and never say a word or give his opinions? Yes, Conor has delusional levels of self belief - that has always been his gig, whether driving a beat up ole car and thinking it was a Bentley before he ever made it big or telling everyone he would become the first champ-champ while people scoffed at the idea of him beating even Marcus Brimage.

He does bring up an interesting point tho - the haters always say Conor had no KO power and that his finishes were TKO's. And if that is true, then his g'n'p must be under rated. Come to think of it, there may be something to learn from Conor's shot selection in those times vs just windmilling and praying for the stoppage.

It's interesting to me that those often most eager to post in Conor threads are those most ready to say Conor is irrelevant. If he's irrelevant to you, why take time out of your day to dedicate it to him? If you really loathe Conor and want him to go away, dont click on the articles - there is a reason that MMAFighting created and article over a Conor tweet, because they know the haters will flood in with their cash cow clicks.
for someone who likes to claim some sort of impartiality with Conor, you do spend a remarkable amount of time gargling his load..

I have never cares about records.

I am about the fight style and excitement factor.

How is this stupidity? Check his % vs downed opponents its really very impressive.

Haters will hate for no reason at all these days.
because his only way to put someone down is with a punch, so they are already half out when it reaches the ground

I guess best is subjective but he is deadly accurate at finishes on the ground and his shots are not frantic but well placed.

I’ve always felt Overeem had the most brutal, not UFC but Fedor had some wild swings, Brocks was very forceful. Jon Jones is viscous, lots of contenders. Conor isn’t wrong at all it depends on what aspect.
