Media Conor McGregor beautiful evasion and return after devastating blow

such good recovery skills he ends this gif on his ass back to the fence

His mentality and hunger were different then. He was supremely confident. I think he wouldve done better but Habib fanboys dont know anything about habib outside of maybe 3 fights.
whos your av bro? me likey

Conor is a great fighter. Khabib is greater.

Benson Henderson in his prime would split decisioned both of em though. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.
you dropped your toothpick Ben

The version that beat Alvarez would give Khabib fits and maybe beat him. That version had no chance, Ive never seen Conor looks so out of it in a fight before. That walkout and faceoff was completely telling of his mentality for the fight.
The version that beat Alvarez was more focused, yes, but his grappling was not there. He ran off to box for $100 million but Khabib is one of the big reasons he took so long to come back to the UFC. He knew it was a stylistic nightmare and that he needed to buy as much time as possible to work on his TDD and defensive grappling, which to be fair, was pretty solid, all cheating aside. Bouncy, loose McGregor from 2016 gets taken and held down even easier.

Khabib fans love to constantly post the shortened gif of this knockdown and not give due credit to the beautiful recovery.

Look how McGregor beautifully evades a potential fight ending knee and answers back with one of his own (connecting clean). Mind you, this is after eating a flush overhand right (McGregor's first time being knocked down). The fact that his awareness is seemingly unfazed and maintained following this blow was incredible.

This little sequence proves that although the fight appeared lopsided, flurries like this could very well have put an end to EITHER gentleman's night. Who's to say McGregor's flush knee wouldn't put Khabib's lights out in a rematch? As we all know, with McGregor, all it takes is one.

Khabob wanted nothing to do with that exchange after he knocked conor off balance

if I never had to hear Conor talk, or do anything outside of the ring, and never had to hear his retarded fans; I'd probably like him. meaning is incredibly talented and he puts on exciting fights. everything else is for retarded people

It's funny that ppl love to hype up 2016 Conor, when in 2016 he was choked out in 2 rounds vs short notice Diaz. And then 3 months before the alvarez fight, he barely won the Diaz rematch which was almost a controversial decision. In which he was running away from Diaz multiple times.

I like Conor, but Eddie was an extremely favorable matchup, only a fool had Eddie winning. Conor showed great striking in the diaz fights which showed me that he could easily outstrike brawler eddie alvarez. And Eddie gets hurt in most fights and doesn't have the durability and cardio of Diaz.

Khabib is on a whole other level compared to Eddie, we saw how Khabib did against opponents that Eddie fought. He outright dominated them.

This 2016 version of Conor likely lacked the grappling that 2018 Conor had, and he likely had worse boxing since it was in 2017 that Conor trained a lot more boxing for Floyd. The 2016 version did have better kicks and a more flashy style, but that wouldn't do shit against Khabib. This myth of Conor not being in shape and etc is just that, a myth. The man himself and his camp said he was better than ever, his foot was fine before and after the fight. He's a great fighter who is always training, similar to Floyd/Khabib/GSP.

So...Conor looked 'better than some people think', even though he still got dominated and submitted?

Cool.

Who looked better against Khabib in the last 4 years. Ill wait.

I dont believe it was scored a knock down

Who said someone looked better than him? and what is the point of that anyway? "Better" is simply relative. So Conor got smashed and tapped 'less badly' than others?

cool.

Blame Conor. He knew what he was facing and didn’t put in the work. That’s why his accuracy was way off in that fight. It’s a fair loss. Too late to care about what could’ve been. He blew his chance.

He was the same fighter. He just was "out of it" because he knew he was going to lose

His mentality and hunger were different then. He was supremely confident.

Because he was fighting Eddie and not Khabib. Confidence goes out the window when you know you are getting your ass kicked

Love him or hate him Connor is a generational talent
Do you know what generational means? He was not the best talent this generation, so how the fuck is he a generational talent?

He clearly is.

In UFCs history no one has won more and done more impressive things than Cowboy. Connor owned him worse than anyone has ever owned anyone. If the term Zulu’d didnt exist they would have called all beat downs since he got cowboy’d.

also now that I think of it he’s more than a generational talent, he’s a once ever
