Media Conor McGregor beautiful evasion and return after devastating blow

I never really noticed that, thanks OP. I always thought Khabib just missed the knee, but Conor did better than I thought

You ever thought that the “version” of McGregor was only that good because he was in there with Eddie Alvarez who is garbage compared to Khabib?

That had something to do with it I’m sure, but he still looked especially good that night.

Broken fingers

Drinking litres of whiskey every day

Not training

Two broken feet

Family kidnapped before the fight and held at gun point

Inactivity

Damn conor is even better than I thought

Seriously guys, he had a great camp and was beat by the better man

This is a guy that went to war against diaz twice and was soundly beat first time, he ain't beating khabib

Quit the bullshit, khabib was better on the night and any night

Conor had 4 rounds with Khabib and never once had him in even the slightest amount of trouble.

But hey, he handled it well when he got Dropped by the grappler. So- yeah. Cool.

The version that beat Alvarez would give Khabib fits and maybe beat him. That version had no chance, Ive never seen Conor looks so out of it in a fight before. That walkout and faceoff was completely telling of his mentality for the fight.

he was out of it because he was being utterly dominated

So...Conor looked 'better than some people think', even though he still got dominated and submitted?

Cool.

I love how fight fans willfully ignore the opponent.

_____ looked so good in the ___ fight.

If he fought like that against (way better guy) he couldn’t possibly lose!

I don't see a second fight coming unless Conor is activate and consistent enough to go on a run and perhaps then things might change in the Khabib camp once they've given up on a GSP fight.

@Steve Fox

if your gonna say anything about after the fight then don't leave out before ...

cause if we go that route Conor ruined it well before it happened..

nothing but dispicable acts building up to fight and during the fight ...

the end result "was only buisness"

Totally agree. Conor definitely contributed to it.

No version weve seen of Conor beats khabib outside of a lucky first strike...

Khabib is conors kryptonite ...everything khabib is great at conor is terrible at... everything conor is good at khabib is good enough at it to negate it as he proved in the fight and even dropped conar...

Its just the styles...unless conor rounds out his style he will never beat khabib...

In a rematch khabib probably beats him in round 1 or 2 having been there with him once he knows where conors at skillwise and power wise...khabib got him down easily in the first in there first fight he would do that same but this time be more agressive as he knows conor cant do anything against it...he was patient in the first encounter cuz he didnt know what conor had to offer now he knows and can push the advantage from the get go...

A rematch would be a one sided beating IMO...conor showed nothing in the first fight thats says he'd be competitive in a rematch...he cheated several times because he didnt have the answers

His mentality and hunger were different then. He was supremely confident. I think he wouldve done better but Habib fanboys dont know anything about habib outside of maybe 3 fights.

Everyone knows that non alcoholic Conor beats Khabib

everyone knows Conor is second to Tito as far as post fight excuses. and the people that agree with you are the delusional Conor fans who can't just say Conor got whooped by Khabib because he's the better fighter. but Khabib is better than everyone at 155

if youd had to label dispicablenes percentage wise .. what percentage do you assign Khabib & Conor

Ill give a rough estimate of

Khabib 33.3333333%
Conor 66.6666666%

with a margin of error roughly 00.000001%

Conor is a great fighter. Khabib is greater.

Benson Henderson in his prime would split decisioned both of em though. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Khabib had a good run,but he had no choice but to retire, otherwise he'll get slept by nuclear sober McGregor left, understandable, he'll be remembered in history as second to conor,or maybe third if you consider bj

So you knew he was going to take a beating based on the walkout but now you know he’d give khabib fits? The rematch will likely never happen. But I hope it does just to end this nonsense.

Khabib fans love to constantly post the shortened gif of this knockdown and not give due credit to the beautiful recovery.

Look how McGregor beautifully evades a potential fight ending knee and answers back with one of his own (connecting clean). Mind you, this is after eating a flush overhand right (McGregor's first time being knocked down). The fact that his awareness is seemingly unfazed and maintained following this blow was incredible.

This little sequence proves that although the fight appeared lopsided, flurries like this could very well have put an end to EITHER gentleman's night. Who's to say McGregor's flush knee wouldn't put Khabib's lights out in a rematch? As we all know, with McGregor, all it takes is one.

Khabib slapped the GOAT and bullied him prior to any altercation with Conor.
