Can you see Jones being asked if he likes California (at a Q&A in LA) and answer 'not particularly'? Or if asked about pro-wrestling, say that he used to watch it when he was 3 but that it's fake shit and MMA is the real shit?

You know he never could. Conor truly doesn't give a fuck about anything other than hyping and winning fights.

Jones on the other hand has always been burdened by clumsy, misguided efforts to either please or at least not offend fans and sponsors. He'll talk trash to 'haters' and sometimes drop the facade (as in the Cormier scenario), but his public speaking efforts are quite obviously geared towards pleasing the maximum amount of people.
