Conor having bad cardio is a myth

He’s basically a dud after 1-2 rounds these days, he striking is way less dangerous. Guys just have to make him work on the ground or clinch for a round or two and he’s basically safe after that.

He’s only gassed in ONE fight and that was his first fight moving up 2 weight classes. It’s easily excusable that he gassed in the first Nate fight, he spent almost 2 rounds butchering Nate and trying to finish him. I think he really just wasn’t prepared to go 5 rounds against a cardio machine and thought he would get rid of Nate early, which wasn’t happening so he mentally broke which led to him gassing.

Then he went 5 grueling rounds with Nate and won the rematch. So
what other fight did he gas? The Khabib fight he was getting grappled for 4 rounds which would happen to any one. The Dustin fight he lost mobility in his leg which led to the KO. He even went 10 rounds with Floyd while having a heavy output throughout the fight.

Just watch the Mendes and Nate 2 fights. Conor having horrible cardio is a myth
how stupid of us... you are so right and the rest of the planet is so wrong.....

there would be more but Connor was busy either with sleepy time or getting carried out on a stretcher in those Dustin fights ... so other than excuses where is our evidence of post fight Mcgregor ready to run a marathon? or do anything other than hit the showers?

He's had 2 fights that went past the third round and he gassed in both of them. in the Nate rematch he took rounds 3 and 4 off because of his cardio. He gassed vs Khabib by the 3rd round. His punches at that point had basically no power, Khabib just decided to play with him a bit on the feet in that round.
He was also gassed 1/2 way through the Floyd bout.

His cardio is sub-par.

it's debatable he even gassed in the first nate fight. accumulated damage tends to make you look tired and he was eating a whole lotta shots.

for a professional athlete it is bad... not Kimbo Dada bad but all kidding and my dislike for him aside its noticeably worse than his opponents at the level he fights at...

Conor doesn’t have a cardio issue, he has a pacing issue. He pushes an unsustainable pace for the first round. Even world class marathon runners can fatigue if they sprint for the mile.

I mean it was his first pro boxing match and he went into the 12th rd. I've seen boxers in the lighter weight classes get tired before. Usually pros start at 4 rds and then it goes 6, 8, 10 and then championship fights are 12. Also Mayweather poured a ton of pressure on him.

Also according to compubox stats Mcgregor through 430 punches... That's 110 more than Mayweather threw and 1 more than Pacquiao threw in his fight with Mayweather...
Conor didn't throw any real punches against floyd. He was lightly shoving his fists at floyd because he was terrified of getting countered. High output won't tire you out of its very light taps you are throwing

He did not make it into the 12th rd he lost in the 10th and was exhausted.
I meant 10th lol. Whoops. Point still stands, first boxing match and against one of the best boxers of his generation. Went into the 10th rd and threw 430 punches. If his cardio was really trash he wouldn't have lastef so long or have been able to throw that many punches.

He's no Max Holloway but his cardio isn't bad. It's just not great. Average cardio imo.

Khabib was gassed in the third, he even admitted he made himself tired by letting his emotions get the better of him and fought mad.

He threw nothing behind his punches but still wore himself out with a low pace of arm punches.

His punches barely had any steam after the 3rd round

I agree with the point about him not throwing real punches, but it wasn't even a high output and he did still somehow wear himself out after the first few rounds.

Floyd and Conor are from a different generation.
