Conor has balls but made great mistakes

Another Conor mistake was just like GSP vs Serra.

When you get rocked take your time and recover. Don't get into more exchanges.

I think conor made a couple of mistakes. His biggest tactical mistake was simply going all out to take out diaz. He is so used to ko'ing everyone so fast, by the end of the 1st round, he was fading. I thought at the end of the 1st round, if he doesn't stop nate early in the 2nd round, he was going to be in trouble. And he was. He got tired, way before he was hurt by a punch. When you're tired, anything can hurt you.. Nate certainly doesn't hit harder than mendes but conor was tired, so nate's punches had an effect.

conor should have just moved a bit more, thrown some of the kicks he used against mendes. Forget the spinning kicks and use more of those front kicks he was using...Pick his shots more, like he did against siver. against siver, he took his time..

please explain to me how conor is bullying "smaller" guys? I don't get this perception. He is making the weight at 145, is he not? Are other guys cutting weight also? Does aldo cut a ton of weight? Does Pourier cut alot of weight? The answer to all is yes. Does ever single fighter in the ufc cut weight? Yes. So this he fights smaller guys is stupid and needs to stop. Just cause he is taller or has a longer reach, ala Jon Jones, doesn't mean he is fighting smaller guys.

A fighters size is determined by their weight, not their height or reach. Conor moved up and weighed 23lbs more than his last fight. if people don't think that's going to effect his performance are stupid morons.
Conor looked like a stocky midget in the cage with Diaz. Kid has balls he obviously isn't a natural light weight

He did land combos, and he didnt bounce on the outside cuz he ran out of gas swinging haymakers all of round 1 trying to get the KO.

exactly right. I think he should have taken his time more and pick his shots, like he did against Siver..

Yeah shouldn't of gone for the ko he should of mixed up the punches more.

He has legit boxing skills but all that crazy kicking shit was worthless

Well, they didn't fight at 155lbs. Conor weighed 168lbs. That 13lbs can make a huge difference. I think the extra size hurt rather than help conor. He seemed to get tired much faster...He threw a ton of strikes against mendes but never gassed. he gassed by the end of the 1st round. That's not like conor.

Taking this fight obviously was a marketing mistake long term but Nate wasn't going to cut at this late date.

I think Conor realized he would likely lose during the 1st presser in LA.

First of all, I want to say Conor has guts moving up weight classes in MMA
To be accurate he's still got kidneys because he moved up

I think conor believed he was going to win. Absolutely. I don't think he believed for a second he would lose...Hopefully, he can fix that cardio problem. His cardio issues is different than reems. Conor simply throws so many strikes, if he doesn't ko you within that first and if the guy is still there and also fighting back hard and hitting you, conor will fade. Conor has to pace himself, like he did against Siver...

I like how no one has responded to this post. You make some good points lol... people will believe what they want to believe though

To fix a cardio against the Diaz bros you literally should be swimming from Alcatraz but I get your point.

I think it better he train BJJ more.

First of all, I want to say Conor has guts moving up weight classes in MMA when most MMA fighters move down to try to bully smaller guys.

But not making Diaz cut to 155 was stupid, He could of had a huge advantage had he made him cut.

Thinking that he could sleep a obviously bigger guy with one punch was stupid. He should of strung combos together.

Thinking he could take Nates punches and walk through them was stupid he should of bounced on the outside and avoided as many punches as he could.

There's reason why boxers have advisors, they avoid shit like this from happening.

At the end of the day Conor is a little guy with great boxing strong punches and good movement we shouldnt shit on him cause he failed we should celebrate him for trying

He was finished by an average LW Fighter. Just imagine if that had been Dos Anjos. Conner has some good skills, but he was exposed for having many flaws. He will more-than-likely lose his FW Belt soon. He just has too many holes in his game.

Conor talked all this trash about how the guys he fought at 145 were midgets. Now he fought a dude who wasn't a "midget" and well, you know what happened.
