Let him fight masival. It would headline a ppv and do decent numbers. The story writes itself. "Nick Diaz tries to avenge his brother's loss"

The BMF belt is almost meaningless anyway. I wouldn't be opposed

Only question is whether he looks better or worse in his resounding defeat than Rampage did
He should fight Rampage at 205 after he loses the weight.

I would be excited if they gave him a can-ish opponent

I don’t wanna see him against top 20
he wont take a fight with a can ish opponent. and of Nick has anything left in the tank, he could compete with any WW on the planet

Nick won't come back for anyone not named Jorge or George. Give him the Masvidal fight, we the fans want it.

He should fight someone like Carlos conduit, any up and coming fighter should be a no go, or anyone top 15

so what it not about money fights it about fights period. nick diaz isnt claiming to be a super fight looking guy. nate the one being a diva
it's quite clear Nick is only interested in money fights.

it's quite clear Nick is only interested in money fights.

it also clear the diva brothers think there money side so his mind i dont care who im fighting people are always paying to see me fight not him.

Nick will leave Jorge a bloody mess if they let him back in there.

War Nick.

Let's see. One is a guy who hasn't competed in almost 5 years and hasn't won a fight in 8 years. By all accounts, he's spent no small amount of the past 5 years partying.

The other is the #3 ranked Welterweight who has 3 stoppage victories in the past year alone, the latest of which was against Nick's brother who fights with a similar gameplan and was coming back off much less of a layoff.

Maybe you got Nick and Jorge mixed up?

Nick has always been my favorite fighter, but I don't want him tarnishing his legacy. He would get schooled by pretty much all of the top-10 WWs and MWs because they're not dumb enough to sit and trade in the pocket with him and Nick is too stubborn to mix-in his BJJ.

BUT...

There is one fight that I've always wanted back 4 or 5 years ago. Nick vs. Matt Brown. I thought their career trajectories were on a collision course in ~2014 after Nick lost to GSP and Matt Brown was on a terror. Their styles/mentality/gas tanks were 100% going to result in true barn-burner...but Nick took a long break after GSP and Brown dropped back down the rankings after losing to Lawler in the Title eliminator.

As crazy as it sounds, I think they've both degraded along the same trajectory (well..Nick's a bit more do to the sauce..) that this fight could still be made and be a big draw. Obviously, I think it has to be a catch-weight fight because I doubt Nick could make 170 and Matt's not exactly a small WW who would probably enjoy only cutting down to ~178.

Outside of Brown, I don't think there are any notable/"sell-able" fighters that wouldn't exploit Nicks style of fighting and turn it into a boring decision win. And because of that, it's in Nick's best interest to stay retired. Don't pull a Chuck Liddell and try to jump in there with the "Big names" again only to get embarrassed.

No one needs to beat him by boring decision. He hasn't trained in 5 years. Masvidal brutally kos him.

I'd like to see Nick back but he should do 2/3 Bellator fights before going back to the UFC.
Fighting elite competition after four years off doesnt sound so smart

Meh, the only time I'd wanna see him back was if he could do a lie detector test where he answers if he's really not doing it just for the money.

Yes.
But it might not be a great idea.

Nick will look like dog shit fighting straight up killers at almost 37 years old and after a 5 year layoff. It’s a young man’s game.

Of course it's a plus if the guy wants to fight because he loves it, but with him the reasons don't really matter. He's one of the few guys who comes to fight each time, comes to finish, doesn't shy away from a bloodbath. It's hard to take something like that that's in him away. Nick Diaz comes back as a...point fighter? Hell nah. The reason he has here though looks simple, yet serious. Avenge his brother. A better reason than most.

Yawn. Not interested

I’ve grown tired of the Diaz brothers and their hype to get a money fight. Either fight or don’t.
