Could Nick Diaz be trolled into wanting to fight again?

Only question is whether he looks better or worse in his resounding defeat than Rampage did

Can't wait for the postfight helwani interview after his comeback. Cmpunk would be a great matchup for him

Nick is about to get 50-45’d by alcoholism. He ain’t coming back, if he does it’s gonna be ugly.

I would be up for seeing 1 last fight. Even a Condit rematch.

If he comes back and fights anyone in the top 20, I'm betting the house on his opponent. You can't party that hard for 4-5 years straight and then come back and win against a top opponent.

Nick needs to find a job teaching English at a school. It's a shame his English language skills and extreme verbal fluency is being wasted on meaningless exchanges with Dana and cockfighting. Kids would benefit so much...

I thought he was supposed to be fighting Masvidal in a few months. Was that all bullshit?

I'm a big Diaz bros fan but I have no interest in watching nick comeback to quit right after another decision loss, I'd rather see Nate fight regularly

lol sure he is, dude doesn't want to fight and he wouldn't even be competitive with the elite guys.

he'd rather just turn down every single matchup they offer, smoke, drink and whine.

If he'd been training anything other than tequila shots, striking blunts and grappling alcoholism, I'd be totally on board with a comeback. That said, I'm still totally on board.

Nick is 36 and has not fought in 5 years.

The guy is rarely in training and I find it unlikely the UFC will offer him enough money to get an actual deal done.

Anything is possible of course.

Nick will leave Jorge a bloody mess if they let him back in there.
War Nick.

Meanwhile the match makers are still trying to figure out what Nick was saying (they brought in a couple of linguistics experts).
Stay tuned, this could take a while...

Nick has always been my favorite fighter, but I don't want him tarnishing his legacy. He would get schooled by pretty much all of the top-10 WWs and MWs because they're not dumb enough to sit and trade in the pocket with him and Nick is too stubborn to mix-in his BJJ.

BUT...

There is one fight that I've always wanted back 4 or 5 years ago. Nick vs. Matt Brown. I thought their career trajectories were on a collision course in ~2014 after Nick lost to GSP and Matt Brown was on a terror. Their styles/mentality/gas tanks were 100% going to result in true barn-burner...but Nick took a long break after GSP and Brown dropped back down the rankings after losing to Lawler in the Title eliminator.

As crazy as it sounds, I think they've both degraded along the same trajectory (well..Nick's a bit more do to the sauce..) that this fight could still be made and be a big draw. Obviously, I think it has to be a catch-weight fight because I doubt Nick could make 170 and Matt's not exactly a small WW who would probably enjoy only cutting down to ~178.

Outside of Brown, I don't think there are any notable/"sell-able" fighters that wouldn't exploit Nicks style of fighting and turn it into a boring decision win. And because of that, it's in Nick's best interest to stay retired. Don't pull a Chuck Liddell and try to jump in there with the "Big names" again only to get embarrassed.

i remember when the mods around here actually enforced the no shit talking fighters rules. diaz brothers entertain. isnt that why we are fans of the sport?
