As far as I know this hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's the right fight to make. Masvidal is probably the biggest threat to Usman's title, or at least the biggest threat to Usman;s title out of the guys that Usman hasn't fought yet. If Masvidal can keep the fight standing then he has a good chance of winning, but if Usman can get the fight to the ground then Usman should take it. It should be a close fight but I think Usman will win the fight by unanimous decision.

Conor gets wrestlefucked by Usman, so that only brings in money once.

Masvidal fighting Usman brings good money and if he wins, that brings great money against Conor.
Conor then is a 3div champ and they make Mayweather money.
That way they avoid Khabib and Diaz gets a few easy matchups to hype a rematch.
If it's a close fight, even better, instand rematch against Masvidal.
