Cub Swanson 2015: 178lbs?

That's his walk around weight, not cage weight; besides, I have a source on him that's more recent anyway.

89kg is 196lbs. Can't you at least use a converter on google?? Wtf is this? Americans???
He said "86 kilos".

He then said that he "went up 9 kilos"; Welterweight is 77 kg, so going up 9 kg from there would be...wait for it...86kg.

Do they teach math in your country?

Ok I misheard the first part sure, but how do you know he wasn't saying he went up 9kg from 86kg? He wrestled at a heavier weight than Jack Hermansson. It makes sense.

Stereotyping Americans because you "misheard"? Well, at least that's consistent with Sherdog logic.

Because the interviewers were specifically asking him about his Welterweight cut...I'm starting to think you didn't mishear anything and are just trying to save face.

It's not a rare thing at all, I don't know why you're acting like it is. He's not a native english speaker, it's easy to misunderstand him when he says certain things.

You're accusing me of lying just because you feel insulted. I don't see how you think he genuinely weighs under 190lbs in the cage when he was around 200lbs lean with Hermansson. Your criteria makes no sense and isn't accurate

176 is simply damage control after the weigh in shambles against Gaethje.

It would be cool if you highlighted the stats from CSAC as they are the only ones we can really trust.

Dude could have weighed 176 on the scale, for all anybody knows. The athletic commision official at the scale sure as hell doesn't know.

Never forget. Daniel Cormier and Khabib were cheaters, in their own right. Not even allegedly. They straight up cheated on weigh-ins. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Not the most major offenses, but they cheated, nonetheless. And I like them both, but just keepin' it real.

Cub Swanson 2015: 178lbs?

I train with Cub from time to time. We are the same weight and he fights at FW I fought at MW and WW and never cut more than 5-6 pounds at WW the week of the fight, Cub is easily 170 fight week so he is cutting around 22-25lbs. This photo is actually during friday morning weight cut

So let me get this straight...Khabib said what he weighed in 2014 and in 2020, but you want me to use the 2014 source instead of the 2020 source for what he weighed in 2020? That doesn't sound logical, it sounds like you're trying to insert an unsubstantiated narrative due to your own bias.

Fighters' weights change all the time (hence why I edit this thread constantly); Khabib actually weighed significantly less than 176 lbs in the Barboza and McGregor fights, so that debunks your allegation that his team was trying to do some sort of damage control with the 176 lb number.

It's not bias it's logical reasoning.

Does he look 9-13lbs lighter since the RDA fight? No

Did he stop struggling with making weight? No

And quotes from long standing teammates stops it from being unsubstantiated ;)

It was around the Barbosa fight that Thompson contradicted him saying he cut a shit ton of weight. One of them isn't telling the truth. And only one of them stands to benefit from the claims.

He said he was 172lbs for the Conor fight, which would make him a small lw but some how suffered seizures from the cut. Somethings not adding up.

CSAC are the only reliable sources for weights, the rest is hearsay.

Where'd he say that

Ah yes, the eye test, how totally reliable and completely objective.

Did he stop struggling with making weight?

Uriah Hall had health problems despite not cutting much weight and that's because a long history of weight cutting and/or weight cutting too frequently, will make future weight cuts increasingly more difficult, even if one were to decrease how much weight they cut.

And quotes from long standing teammates stops it from being unsubstantiated ;)

Thompson isn't involved with Khabib's camp like that and Thompson also has a podcast where he relies on user traffic to get revenue, so to suggest that he doesn't stand to benefit by making exaggerations is false.
