Do UFC fighters/golfers have fully guaranteed contracts? NO
UFC fighters get show/win money, golfers get paid depending on where they finish in that tournament
they're more alike than ufc fighters to mlb/nfl/nba/nhl
a ufc fighter's in the top 10 is pretty short lived, so their potential window to make money is limited compared to how long a female golfer can stay in the top 50
tell me how many of the guys that i mentioned in my OP, guys that are top 10 actually get PPV points?Backroom bonuses are not mythical and neither are ppv points which can make up the majority of a fighters purse in some instances.
Now let's do jugglers vs chefs
Pointing out a couple similarities doesn't really mean they are similar. Their cost structure could be wildly different resulting in different margins and such. So, flow-through to the athlete can be wildly different. Not to mention how revenue is generated and by percentage of each channel. There is so much you are just glossing over to drive this comparison home.
Also, not sure why a fighter's shelf life is relevant in this topic. I'd like fighters to make more money, as much as possible. But in the end, not sure shelf life is a real factor here in pay scale, but more so in decision making to become a fighter.
I'm not sure it's the closest. How do LPGA and UFC margins compare? How is their sales mix across channels?never claimed it was a perfect comparison, in the world of sports it's the closest

I'm not saying it isn't the closest, I'm saying we don't have nearly enough information to make that determination. And to stand on this hill as it is the closest comparison in sports feels premature based on being in the dark on so many relevant facts.
the masters apparently pays out less than 10% of revenue to the players.is UFC closer to MLB/NFL/NBA/NHL or to LPGA?
It feels like my point is falling on deaf ears, I am saying you can't answer that without more information. If one of the four major sports has a similar cost structure to the UFC, more so than the LPGA then it would be one of those sports. The fact that you've tied them because of athletes being "contractors" isn't enough to create this comparison.is UFC closer to MLB/NFL/NBA/NHL or to LPGA?
not sure what relevance that has?I'm going golfing on Friday afternoon!
No one's paying me a dime, I'm actually happily forking over 50$.
really? i would love to see a sourcethe masters apparently pays out less than 10% of revenue to the players.
https://huddleup.substack.com/p/the-masters-leaving-over-200m-behindreally? i would love to see a source
The NBA is the only one of those leagues where guaranteed contracts are the norm, aside from stars players get cut pretty often in most sports leagues.Do UFC fighters/golfers have fully guaranteed contracts? NO
