Just finished 5 ronin. Could have been better.

Also finally caught up with talon. Hope they don't Fuck it up with the latest arc.

Gonna read age of ultron and catch up with superior spidermsn later today

edit. Just finished catching up with superior spider man and I can say without a doubt it's probably one of the best marvel now lines. The art is crisp, the storyline is entertaining, and it's just an all around good read.

I'm probably one if the fee people who don't want pansy ass peter parker coming back.

Well I read Morrison's New X-Men and Whedon's Astonishing X-Men and yea, they were great. Probably enjoyed Whedon's run a little bit more, which surprised the hell out of me. Morrison's run kind of petered out for me towards the end while Whedon's was consistently solid throughout.

Finished Cosmic Odyssey. Meh.

The concept was great but it moved too fast and didn't make a lot of sense.
GL freezing out J'onzz was lame.

Finally caught up with age of ultron. Actually like it. Now on to catch up with avwngers assemble.

Got this:

Morrisons entire run tied together everything with his last arc, what happened in issue one mattered in his final issue... Saying Morrizons New Xmen was brilliant is a bit of an understatement..

His run pisses on Whedons and Joss's is damn good read

how did you think whedon's astonishing compared to remender's uncanny x-force?

Hmm I liked the overall tone more for Remender's Uncanny X-Force since it was a bit darker and serious. But that one arc where they go to that dimension with Captain Britain... yea, not a fan of that story. And the art was downright atrocious. Whereas Whedon's run didn't have a weak spot in it. Was solidly entertaining in every issue.

But they were both great, along with Morrison's. But would you or anyone else recommend Ultimate X-Men? I hear that the Ultimate comics are alright up until Ultimatum, which is a pile of shit apparently.

i haven't read any ultimate x-men but from what i've heard it sounds pretty bad.

Really? It did eventually go into a stupid direction. But the entire Ultimate Line was great for the first several years, especially UXM.

i kinda got duped at the comicshop yesterday. i saw an interesting cover for a comic by BOOM called Next Testament. it was written by Clive Barker and Mark Miller, thats right Miller not Millar. i couldn't figure out how i had not heard of this because i am a huge fan of Clive and like some of Millar's stuff. Even though it was written by the wrong Mark it was interesting and will go for 12 issues so i think i'll give it a chance.

i also picked up the last issue of dark avengers which i have kept reading out of respect for jeff parker, it wasn't bad but it ended up being a disposable series. i got the next to last issue of Fury MAX which was good and i'm sad to see it ending soon. Captain America was good and i got the last issue of the walt simonson Indestructable Hulk arc which was kinda meh. i brokedown and bought another disappointing issue of new avengers where nothing happens but it is hard for me to resist steve epting's art.

As long as you enjoyed the story, it's all good.

What I hate are IDW comics with great covers and shitty artwork inside.

I think New Avengers is pretty sweet. I don't expect a ton of action from a group who secretly works behind the scenes to save the world. But didn't they blow up a friggin' planet in the last issue? I'd call that something happening :icon_chee. But I see the "nothing happens" complaint for Hickman quite a bit. Still interested in checking out his Fantastic Four run though.
