has anyone read the crisis, infinite crisis, final crisis series?

i'm thinking of purchasing them

I've read Crisis and Infinite Crisis and enjoyed them both, never read Final Crisis although I hear that's actually the weaker of the 3

Batman 20 was entertaining, but it was mostly filler. It did have a reference to the Batman Beyond bat-suit though, which was fun. And JLA 3 was alright, but the art took a nose dive. I think they're bringing in a new artist though which it definitely needs.

Is Finch currently doing this?

I noticed the cover for #1 didn't look that great either. Might be the inker/colorist. Or it could be he's changing his style. I noticed his run on Dark Knight got rougher as the issues progressed.

I hope he makes it and gets better soon.

I talked to him at Long Beach Comic Con. He charged me $20 for a Batman sketch on my iphone but gave me a $20 print for free.

So I think I came out ahead!

Batwoman one is sick.

I was just about to comment that too, looks framed to the wall good. Nightwing just doesn't look right with a black/red scheme I don't he just looks off to me black/blue just works better for him.

I got a Bane sketch from Dustin Nguyen at a local con:

He didn't even charge me :)

Golden Apple was selling back issues 3 for $1 at the con. The selection was kind of weird, they had a whole bunch of Justice League #17 but no other JL. Picked up 30 comics mainly just for art. It was pointless to try and read it as a story because the selection was so random.

Was just at a used book sale and bought final crisis for like 3$. Hopefully its good :P

i just finished preacher and i was not disappoint. i understood it completely i think but what became of genesis and did the saint of killers sitting on the throne of heaven have any meaning other than him finally resting? i know this was not addressed but with god and satan being killed by the saint what now happens to the souls of the dead?

after finishing saint of killers arc in preacher it's pretty clear garth ennis made the punisher marvel's version of the saint albeit in MAX form. Born and From first to last both had elements that are very reminiscent of the saint.

Very true. It's strongly implied that Frank made a deal with the Angel of Death. In the very last Ennis Punisher story, "Valley Forge, Valley Forge", the brother of the Marine who died alongside Frank writes a book about the massacre and how it helped create the Punisher. One of the people he interviews is Vietnam Vet who was one of the first to see Castle at Valley Forge when reinforcements arrive and find everyone else wiped out.

Sgt Torrance, "You've heard off a Thousand Yard Stare? Well this guy had a million mile one. He'd seen somewhere else, and I don't know, maybe he'd had a fucking good conversation with someone he'd met there."

Goodwin, "Do you mean the Devil."

Torrance(laughs)"Fuck, no. No, I mean someone way more badassed than that...I mean, if it had been the Devil, I kind of think he would have been smiling. And I doubt that boy ever cracked a smile again in his life."

That Batwoman cover is IMMENSE.

the jokes on you chief i thought 5 ghosts was solid. it's a little touch but i like how the pages were made to look wrinkled like it was an old pulp you just happened to stumble upon. it sounds like it was a serial comic strip that image picked up and collected. if that's the case i would assume it could possibly be an on going series after the initial release of the 5 part mini. it's cool the creators used kickstarter to make the project happen.

can't remember if i've asked this before but has anyone read The Boys and if so is it recommended reading?

I have an idea for a comic but I can't draw! Is there an outlet for things like this?
