Crossed was just too damn nasty, even for me. I read a couple of issues and then gave up.

As for The Boys...

All this time, Billy thought it was the Homelander who raped his wife, which obviously caused her death when their super-powered baby tore it's way out of her womb.

It turns outs that Vought-American had used DNA from the the Nazi superhuman Stormfront to create both the Homelander and Black Noir. They manipulated Noir's DNA to make him even stronger than the Homelander("He can Bench a dozen Mack trucks")and conditioned him to be the perfect assassin; he was to stay close to Homelander at all times. If Homelander ever became too much of a liability, Black Noir would be ordered to kill him.

But the constant strain of living with his target for years, yet not being allowed to carry out the mission he had been born and bred for, drove Noir insane. He was physically identical to Homelander, so when he put on the costume and photographed himself carrying out rape, murder, necrophilia and cannibalism - including, apparently, "Raping a baby in half" - everyone who saw the pictures would believe Homelander to be responsible. But Vought still refused to give Noir the kill order, so he sent the photos to Butcher, who used them to blackmail VA and the Seven.

Even the Homelander came to believe he had carried out the terrible crimes in the photos, and this finally drove him to commit mass murder and attempt a coup of the US Government, since he believed he was already a psychopathic killer. When he finally realized the truth, he was enraged and attacked Noir, who tore him apart, though Homelander inflicted terrible damage himself; tearing open Noir's stomach and almost severing one of his arms.

Noir was eventually brought down by heavy machinegun fire from US Marines outside the White House, and killed by Butcher, who used his crowbar to lever off the top of Noir's skull, before gouging out part of his brain...

Well I'm glad Ennis at least came up with a twist for it. Still won't get me to finish the comic though. :D

just finished Iron Man 10.....im tired of tony in space. get him back to earth and dealing with "sapes" as the greys call em.

i'm digging the current iron man arc more than i thought i would and eaglesham's art with guru's colors is great. i thought it was funny when papa stark was recruiting his crew and dum dum dugan asked if nick fury was in and stark said fury had a cold.:icon_lol:

i read the first 2 chapters of prophet and liked it enough to buy all the issues i'm missing except #27. i also read the first 2 chapters of fatale and can already tell it's going to be good so i picked up the new issue and found #11. i got age of ultron which was okay and thunderbolts which to me is just a fun book. i also picked up Mark Millar's and Frank Quitely's Jupiter's Legacy #1 which was interesting. It's about 2nd generation superhero's trying(or not trying) to live up to the legacy there parents have established. the kids seem to be more into the celebrity side of heroing like getting star treatment, doing drugs, and getting endorsements.

I also bought Fatale #1, the $1 version. I'll read it tonight. Heard good things about it.

That was the hottest part of the issue.

so i just read the first issue of cable and x-force...loved it. should i continue with the series??

Finished Massive #1.

Shit was pretty great.

It's about calamities in our world and what happens after it. There's no superhumans or anything but it feels like a monster will pop out of nowhere.

I've been reading it since the start. Really enjoy it. Still think DMZ was better though.
