Wasn't the Black Bolt from WWH a skrull

I'm 100% certain he was. I think BB was replaced some time after Silent War if my memory serve me

Going back and reading Infinity, BB did some damage. He knocked him on his ass with his first scream, knocking off all of Thanos ' armor and making him bleed.

Maximus noted that after the original Terrigan bomb detonation that apparently it weakens BBs power, so maybe he was never back to full power after War of Kings, when he kills Vulcan and detonated the T-bomb in space?

yes he was. All the Illuminati were IIRC, maybe not Reed Richards? I'm not sure, but BB was a Skrull then for sure.

Yeah when he fought hulk he was a skrull.

WWH would beat any black bolt though, that was the gimmick of WWH. Only sentry defeated him. He barely did so.

Just looking at WWH you're right, we see Hulk tell him he came to make him scream but we don't see the rest of the battle, just Hulk holding a beaten BB during his hologram speech.

What story had BB screaming at Hulk, showing him losing muscle down to almost the bone, but Hulk recovering?
There is a story where BB apparently destroyed Hulk, but I've never seen it.

Hey anyone remeber how good and fun comics were during that era. I love the Joe Quesada era of marvel.

So many Great things happened during that time. DC was great during that time as well.

I really really miss that era of comic books.

I found one from the 70s, maybe what you're referring:

They've made BB much less powerful, FFS they let Dazzler and Emma Frost take him in Inhumans v. X-Men

So many of those writers aren't around like they once were. That's what set that era apart.

From that 2000-to secret Wars was my jam.

The big 2 were producing so many awesome books I could make a list that lasts for days

He's the man that saved Marvel! I liked the push to make things fresh and less complicated while telling good stories.

Nowadays I mostly read self contained titles.

he was the driving force behind One More Day, no matter the good stuff Quesada has done, I can't forgive him for that lol

Also Black Bolts solo series is pretty damn good. I don't know if anyone has given that a try

Yup. He has his haters but for me it got me back into comics. I love the guy and his vision

In fact it's my all time favorite era of comic books. It all started with the British Invasion in the late 90s. Civil War was the absolute height of it but it stayed incredibly strong for years after that as well.

I want to mention how good DC was during that era as well. The 52 era

It's my favorite run ever for a lot of titles, like Hickmans Fantastic Four and New Avengers. It was a spectacular era, maybe my favorite. I was never a big DC guy, but that era of Marvel is outstanding.

I mean you're gonna let one thing ruin everything else. Seems extremely short sighted imo.

his good far outweighs his negatives

No, thats not it. I can't find it either. It may be one of those mythological battles, but I remember it being referred to and it was Black Bolt really messing up Hulk.

I LOVED it. The title with him being imprisoned and then getting free with Absorbing Man, Crusher Creel?

it was one of my favorite runs of last year.

Yes it was the best era of comic books imo. There was so much talent between the big 2 during that time. So many great things happened.

Spidey is my fav character ever, and that changed his story to such a degree, I'm not sure I'll ever let it go.

I'm not disputing some of the great books he's had, just in my mind, OMD was such a pile of trash that really killed my favorite era of Peter Parker, those books didn't recover until Superior Spider-Man IMO

Yeah, that was one of the worst things they've ever done. The books they came out with after that were some of the best, but it had nothing to do with taking out the MJ/ Parker relationship.

I didn't read a lot of DC unless you count DC's acquisition of Wildstorm and Vertigo. One thing the era did well was put the writer at the forefront. I grew up in the 90s era when the artists sold books, but I like the 2000's era more across the board. Even Image made Kirkman a partner. And having a writer/artist team for an entire run. I really dislike when artists are always switching out on runs. It's like actors switching out in the middle of a movie.
