I read all of Peter David's Hulk run. The stories were really good, but the art was either crappy (MacFarlane, Purves, Sharp), very good (Dale Keown), or excellent (Gary Frank).
Keown has a lot of John Byrne in his anatomy. Since Byrne is a personal favorite of mine, I like that. Keown definitely has his own style, but his foundation seems to be Byrne.
Gary Frank, especially when inked by Cam Smith, was as close to the ideal Hulk artist as there has ever been, IMHO.
I read the Squadrom Supreme. So many say it was a seminal book. I basically hated it. The art sucked, except for the single issue laid out by John Buscema. The writing was terrible. Terrible. Everyone had at least one stupid nickname, and Hyperion had several. It was like it was written for an 8 year old. The end was sudden, and seemed to be rushed. I know Mark Gruenwald, the writer, was a beloved editor, and he died of cancer not long after Squadron was published. Still... Yuck.
