I haven't read those, but do you consider it better than Garth Ennis's run? That is my favorite take on the punisher.

It's been a little while since I read Ennis's run and since it's not completely available on MU I can't immediately re-read it to compare.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ennis punisher. Rucka is closer to the Punisher MAX run (another run they don't have on MU :[ )

I think it's a must-read for Punisher fans, but I'm not going to say there was anything "less-good" about Ennis's Punisher. I like the art style of this newer one better but that's just my personal preference.

Sounds right up my alley, thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to see if I can snag the TPB somewhere.

So I've dabbled in a little bit of Valiant's stuff. I don't have a strong grip on the universe or characters but I picked up The Valiant issues 1-2 and thought it was pretty good.

It is written by Jeff Lemire who I've heard good things about and Matt Kindt. The art is by Paolo Rivera of Daredevil fame.

Finished reading Southern Bastards Vol. 1 - Looks like Aaron is a proud graduate of the Joss Whedon School For Killing Characters That You End Up Getting Attached To. Shit was very intense and can't wait for Vol. 2

The solos of Archer and Armstrong, Shadowman, Rai, and Bloodshot are all very good imo.

I was digging through my scattered collection and found so many duplicates and unopened polybagged issues of Valiant crap. Why the hell did I buy that? I wish I could sell this crap. I wonder if that stuff was low print run.

Magnor and Groo, I can understand why I bought.

Put it up on Amazon and someone will buy it.

Got around to watching Assault on Arkham.

Really enjoyed it. I didn't mind the limited use of Bats. This movie seems like it would be a pretty good way to introduce someone to the Suicide Squad if they have absolutely no idea. I loved how they showed blood and kept the violence that's necessary for that type of group to exist.

I picked up Throne of Atlantis as well. Going to give it a watch tomorrow.

Anyone read the new issue of Uncanny Avengers 1.

Pretty good so far. Weird team to say the least Rogue, Scarlett Witch, Sabertooth, Quicksilver, Vision, Brother Voodoo and Falcon Cap.

Pretty much the storyline is a fallout from AXIS. Magneto is not the father of Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver.

Looks like a major recon going on with those characters.

So I watched Throne of Atlantis. Got to say it was probably my least favourite of all the DC Animated movies. I haven't read the actual story line but if it is similar to what happened in the movie, I'm surprised they actually went with it. It was pretty boring all the way around, lots of talking with little action squeezed in. The ending seemed like lazy writing as well.

So I read the 3 volumes of the Runaways.

Vol 1 was great, Vol 2 good and I suffered through Vol 3 just to find out what happened.

They need to bring this back with the original team that made Vol 1.

What the heck.

A friend just told me that they have retconned Joker's origin and now he's

An immortal by means of the same substance that made Savage.

Please confirm.

Throne of atlantis was pretty good. The last act felt very rushed.

Rama have you heard the latest. Bendis is gonna be leaving all the Xmen books by May.

It's just speculation for now as Batman is still investigating. It's Snyder's best Batman story since my favorite, Court Of Owls.

Is it possible if this thread can catch some steam again.

I miss the comic book talk around here

I just read up on the Illuminati shit a few days ago.

was that the only run? that shit was fucking dope.

Welp Johns is off Superman soon :/ I actually liked the mythos he built around superman but only 1 arc?
