Comedian's who aren't funny

norm macdonald - Me Doing Stand Up is fucking hilarious.

as for rogan - when i watch him, i don't really treat him like a stand up comedian. to me he's somewhere between stand-up and spoken word. it's pretty interesting to me, enjoyable, but not necessarily hilarious. i do laugh, but...i dunno. he's just different.

Very true.

I saw Rich Vos live last year too. Now I always liked Vos bet never thought he was that great but live he had me rolling. He also was great at destroying the audience.

That's another guy I need to see one day. Do you catch Opie and Anthony? Most of his fans listen to that show.

That's kind of like Carolla's podcast which I love.

I've never listened to the Joe Rogan Experience. I need to check it out.

My favorite acts tend to fall in to that category.

Way back in the day when they were on regular radio. I don't have satellite radio, but they do find and give exposure to some of the best comedians.

On that note, Henry Rollins is a guy I like. He went from his very harsh spoken word stuff to being a damn fine comedian. Not sure how many shows went onto CD or DVD, but the one I bought was really funny.

off the top of my head i really like the ones with bill burr, but the one with sonnen is by far the best.

i've only listened to maybe 15-20 of them though.

he'll either have on an intellectual/conspiracy theorist type guest, a comedian, or an MMA guy. the ones with comedians are typically the best, followed by the MMA guests. the other shit you have to be interested in the topic to stick it out, because they're light on laughs.

Why does everyone shit on Dane Cook. He is not that bad. I personally don't think Bernie Mac was that funny.

i'm not crazy about him. haven't heard his stand up but some of the spoken word stuff he does comes from a place of self-righteousness that isn't kind of not fun to listen to for entertainment.

he was on O&A, i dunno when, but he made a total ass of himself. he needs to be in a positive mood for me to want to listen, like when he talks about the music that he does like.

Damn TS, you sure do hate a lot of celebrities. :icon_lol:

JK, I don't watch a lot of stand-up, but I agree that Dane Cook is not that funny. In terms of who is funny though, Daniel Tosh always makes me laugh.

All opinions though.

I know what you mean, a lot of his spoken stuff is pretty unpleasant. I was surprised by his comedy talent- he's not amazing but it's easy to listen to an hour of it. Must have been in a good mood that day.

The fact that Greg Giraldo was left out of this list is blasphemy!

i always liked him. he was clearly the best at roasting.

shit, he had this one joke i loved and try to quote when i can. it was about about gay people being jacked. anyone know what special that was from? he says something like "what are you a linebacker? you're built like a gay man"

It depends. For example, I don't like Jeff Ross when he does standup, but his roast bits are always awesome.

Joe Rogan is funny on his podcasts/with other people, but his standup isn't amazing.

The only person I can safely say has never even made me crack a smile in any of his movie roles or standup specials is Katt Williams. He is the definition of awful.

I liked him in Wild n'Out

Me Doing Stand-Up is seriously one of the best specials I've ever seen. Norm's style of humor is pretty much exactly like mine, so I find myself laughing at pretty much anything he does. He could probably say hello to someone and I'd laugh my ass off.
