Comedian's who aren't funny

the thing about cook is that it would bother me that he would use his old punchlines to get a cheer out of a crowd. That's about it though because he's funny as hell at telling stories. Kind of reminds me of a white Kevin Hart.

ha, that's right I remember him calling out his punchlines like some kind of greatest hits album. Jesus that's embarrassing. He became the symbol of bad comedy and catches too much shit imo. Same with Carlos Mencia. At the same time, that whole joke thievery youtube dispute mess gave comedy such a huge boost, it seems worth it. Them and the redneck comedy trailer or whatever they called themselves. From the shit grows the bounty I guess.

Reagan is the man. I was debating between him and Gaffigan to put on my list.

put both on, brah.

you had patrice o'neil on there. elephant in the room is hilarious.

did you notice how inarticulate he was? he takes so long to spit out what he wants to say, and it somehow works to his benefit. it's like built-in suspense.

some of the jokes in that special had me rolling, though.

^Least funny man to ever walk planet Earth.

I can't stand the ventriloquist guy. He hasn't made me laugh since he did all those same jokes 20 years ago on Evening at the Improv.

Holy shit. i can't believe how I forgot about Jeff Dunham. The man who makes your older family laugh....

No, it's his most recent album. From like 2007.

this is just a skit (the CD is skits)

Hey i was just on a long drive and put this on the CD player. It started skipping right after the gay cowboy songs and didn't recover. I love that album and I'm pissed that mine just crapped out on me.

I was about to say. I don't find him too funny. I mean if I was having the guy over for dinner he'd probably have me rolling. But his material is very lackluster. However, I have a lot of respect for him because he kept that stupid act going for 20 years before making it big. And it all came at once for him. I don't watch his stand up but I definitely respect him as a person. And he's talented as hell at what he does.

Elephant in the room is pure gold.

His delivery is perfect for his jokes. I like to listen to his old O&S interviews on youtube.

Jim Norton is another guy I snubbed from my list. I just don't know who to take out. Maybe I'll just expand to 15.

that sucks. Everytime I'm on a roadtrip i listen to him. His hidden track on 'Hot Property' could get me rolling anyday.

Carlos Mencia
Ventriloquist guy comes to mind

both of those guys i find much funnier in radio format. i'm not a big fan of norton's stand up, but on O&A he's irreplaceable.

Yeah fair point. He's been plugging away with the same jokes forever and he finally did well for himself. Gotta respect that.

I wonder if he ever bullshits himself and tells himself that he was just ahead of his time....

Everything Lewis Black says falls completely flat with me. Same with Bill Maher, but I think his shows are more about a bunch of people jackin each other off over how much smarter they are than normal people.

Lewis Black has some good stuff. I agree on Maher. He may have been good back in the day but I don't ever remember loling from him.

He seems like a real average joe. You spend 20 years in obscurity, you're going to handle fame better than the young kid thrust in to it on their first attempt.

Black was another guy I recognized as being great when I first got in to comedy. I still find him funny, but he's so fucking pretentious. He's like the anti Louis C.K..

Lewis Black is another guy who was on fucking fire from like 2003-2006, and then started sucking.

He had a Wisconsin, Minnesota, and San Francisco show (all on CD) that were amazing. Then he stank up Carnegie Hall and has been un-listenable since.
