Colby has 5/6 rounds over Marty

I fully expect Colby to beat Masvidal, but if he loses, he's going to be Conor level delusional with his excuses for losing.
 
Colby is not delusional, he is just trying to keep the idea of a possible trilogy alive. It's how you have to play the game.
Same thing Conor is doing to keep himself in the conversations, and it's working, because the champ himself said he wants the fight.

I've heard him say other things, like the judges gave him the nod in the first fight, or he thinks he's 4-1 in the rematch, or he's going to KO Masvidal in the first round, all things designed to piss people off and talk about him

The fan judging on MMA decisions scored the fight exactly as you did: Colby 3-5 and Marty the first two. The second round was very close between a 10-8 to 10-9, with about 51% seeing it a 10-8 and the rest seeing it a 10-9. The last three were all overwhelmingly seen pro Colby tho. It is very conceivable that Colby could have won 6 rounds in their entire two meetings.

I think the larger point is Usman is considered by many the #1 p4p fighter on the planet and many people thought Colby just beat him, and at minimum even Colby haters must admit they are as evenly matched a duo as you will find. To claim he is so bum, undeserving of main eventing or clout, is ridiculous.

Considering Colby won 5/6 and is natural speaks volume about the elite mixed martial artist that he is.

Imagine Colby on the juice?
 
Over both fights Clobby has 4 rounds in total. Although those 4 rounds were nothing of significant damage or control, just slightly more output

Well Coby, Jon is single now.
 
4 or 5 but 0 Ws which is what ultimately matters.

Heard Colby mention in an interview that while Usman has 2 wins over him, Colby has 5, arguably 6 rounds over Usman, and upon rewatching the fights very thoroughly, I agree with him.

Not to beat a dead horse, but this in response to Sherdoggers questioning why George and Coby are headlining a PPV. I think it's now justified in light of this new information (thanks to Covington's performances).

Also, title is misleading. He did not win 5 of 6 rounds.

Edit: because I was curious I dug deeper, and holy shit I didn’t know 2 of the judges were the same.

Sal did give Colby 5/9 and Derek Cleary gave him 2/9. The other two judges gave him 4 combined (2 rounds each fight).

Other interesting facts: Colby won 3 rounds unanimously and Colby won 2. 4 rounds were not unanimous.
