I can't stand Jon and his antics but you are absolutely right.
The UFC has enabled him to continue being an idiot and even rewarded him for doing so.
I don't have a lot of sympathy for Jon but he's a product of the UFCs shitty standards and I believe they have some answering to do as well.

Funny, I see him as a product of his own decision making. MAYBE of his parents' decision making (I'd have to see how they raised him to know).

The guy cares about himself (to the exclusion of others) soooo much that I figure he doesn't need my sympathy. He's got enough self-sympathy for 20 human beings. I'd rather extend my sympathy to ppl who might more frequently pass that energy on to others in life.

I hate to get all existential on Sherdog, but that "family" was the only anchor Jon had and now it's gone.

It's been a long time since I've rooted for Jones in the cage, but I've always hoped he would clean up his act and stop hurting himself and others,,, Having nobody to love him and to come home to is going to be harder for him than trouble he has faced in the past.. It just will be.

Look at those kids... They are lovely and clearly old enough to understand that Dad hurt Mom. He broke their hearts. How he handles this rejection is going to be more telling than any of his other errors of the past.

Some addicts do pull themselves up, or are carried up, but it's rare... I hope he does.
